Steps:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with a handful of ice. Add the tea and the Lemon Simple Syrup, and shake what your mama gave you. Pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with the lemon strip.
- Combine the sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and simmer for about 10 minutes. Let cool, then stir in the lemon juice. Use immediately or store, covered, in the refrigerator.
GREEN TEA-TINI
Based on a recipe from Esther Blum's book, Eat, Drink, and Be Gorgeous, a nutritionist's guide to living well while living it up. She adds, "Green tea is also loaded with polyphenols and antioxidants, improving the nutritional content of your alcoholic bevvie." This is certainly a starting point for those trying to add green tea to their diet! This is one of my all-time favorite vodka martinis! :)
