Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- In large mixing bowl add the sugar, eggs and shortening. Blend together.
- Slowly add the flour, salt and baking soda and mix well.
- Add the water, vanilla and chocolate chips and mix.
- Add oatmeal and mix until all ingredients are blended together.
- Using a spoon, drop dough onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cookies appear a golden brown. Repeat until all dough is used.
- The size of the spoon will determine the size of the cookie.

- Beat eggs, and stir in raisins and vanilla. Refrigerate for at least an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cream together shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the sugar mixture. Mix in raisins and eggs, then stir in oats and walnuts. Roll dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Cool on wire racks.

- Preheat oven to 350°. Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in water. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; add to creamed mixture, and mix well. Stir in oats, raisins and walnuts. , On a surface sprinkled with additional sugar, roll dough to 1/4-in. thickness. Cut with a floured 2-1/2-in. cookie cutter in desired shapes. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, brown sugar and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice and cloves; stir into the sugar mixture until well blended. Mix in the rolled oats alternately with the milk. Finally, stir in the raisins.
