Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
Fine sea salt and pepper

Steps:

  • COMBINE: In a wide-mouth jar, combine all the dressing ingredients. Season to taste with salt and pepper; I add 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Briskly shake to combine and emulsify. (Don't have a jar? Briskly whisk in a bowl instead!) Check to make sure honey isn't sticking to the bottom -- whisk it into the mixture if it is. Taste and adjust the flavor to personal preference.
  • STORAGE: Store in the fridge until ready to use. In an airtight container in the fridge, this dressing will stay good for 5-7 days. Heads up: Leftover dressing will separate and may even clump a bit (this is because olive oil solidifies at cold temperatures). Simply let the dressing stand at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes and then vigorously shake to re-combine. Then it's ready to use again!

GOOD BALSAMIC VINAIGRETTE DRESSING

Good Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing image

Many requests for this recipe; and it's so easy. It was served at my baby shower 2 years ago and that old ordinary tossed salad is still raved about.

Time 1m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 (5/8 ounce) package Good Seasonings Italian salad dressing mix
balsamic vinegar
cider vinegar
oil
water
Good Seasons dressing cruet

Steps:

  • Follow the directions instructed on the back of the dry dressing mix package with the following adjustment: Instead of adding all regular vinegar to the "V" line on the cruet, add 1/2 cider vinegar and 1/2 balsamic vinegar.
  • Tastes great on greens!
  • I think it tastes it's best at room temp; so it would probably last that way for a few days; after then if it's not used, throw it in the fridge.
