- In a large saucepan, heat the sugar and 2 cups water until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot. Allow to cool, and then place into a large drink dispenser or jug. Add the lemon juice and lime juice and stir. Fill with ice and top with 1 gallon (16 cups) cold water. Add the lemon and lime slices.
HOMEMADE LEMONADE

- Remove the zest from 2 lemons in wide strips with a vegetable peeler, then juice enough lemons to make 2 cups. Refrigerate the juice.
- Combine the sugar, lemon zest and 1 1/2 cups water in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook, whisking occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.
- Remove the lemon zest from the syrup. Pour 3 cups cold water and the lemon juice into the pitcher and stir. Remove 1 cup of the lemonade to a bowl and add 3 cups water. Divide the watered-down lemonade mixture between 2 ice cube trays and freeze until solid, about 2 hours. Refrigerate the pitcher of lemonade until ready to serve.
- Add some lemonade ice cubes to the pitcher along with a few lemon slices. Serve in cups with the remaining lemonade ice cubes.
FROZEN LEMONADE PIE

- For the crust: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In medium bowl, stir together the cracker crumbs, sugar and the melted butter until combined and resembles a wet sand mixture. Pour into a pie plate and press the mixture firmly along the bottom and sides. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- For the filling: In a large bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk and whipped topping. Fold the two together gently until combined, being careful to keep the mixture light and fluffy. Add the lemonade concentrate and continue to gently fold. Be sure to avoid letting the mixture get too liquid-y. Pour the filling into the pie crust. Place in the freezer to chill overnight.
- Sprinkle with a little candied lemon peel and serve!
GINA'S SIMPLE LEMON BARS

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
- Dice the butter and put into a food processor with the flour, and sugar. Pulse in short intervals until the mixture is crumbly and resembles coarse bread crumbs. Add the cold egg yolk, salt and water to the mixture, this will make a pastry dough. Place the dough onto a floured surface and form into a ball. Wrap in plastic and place in the refrigerator until cold.
- When the dough is cold, place on a floured surface and roll out to cover the bottom of a 13 by 9-inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Whisk eggs together and set aside.
- In a separate bowl mix the sugar, flour and baking powder together. Add the lemon zest and juice. Mix in the eggs until well combined. Pour the mixture over the par baked crust.
- Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until the center has set firmly. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool. Cut into bars.
- In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together and blend with a hand mixer on low until creamy. Pipe frosting onto lemon bars.
GINA'S PUCKER-UP LEMON LIMEADE

- In a large pitcher combine all the ingredients and mix until the sugar has dissolved. Pour into tall glasses and garnish with a slice of lemon and a slice of lime.

- Juice the lemons to make 1 cup of juice. To make your labor easier, FIRMLY roll the lemons between your hand and counter top before cutting in half and juicing.
- In a gallon pitcher combine 1 cup lemon juice, 1 cup sugar, and 6 cups cold water. Stir. Adjust water to taste. Chill and serve over ice.
