This roasted Garlic Parmesan Hummus is silky smooth, the creamiest hummus you will ever have! Layered with nutty flavors and loaded with garlic and pepper this dip has a flavorful kick. 1 head garlic, top third sliced off and discarded
1 teaspoon olive oil
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
¼ cup tahini
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon cumin
¼ teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Place the garlic head on a piece of aluminum foil. Drizzle olive oil over garlic and season with salt and pepper. Wrap foil around garlic to fully enclose and place on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until roasted and tender, about 40 minutes. Remove garlic from aluminum foil and cool for 20 minutes. Remove garlic cloves from the peels.
  • Combine roasted garlic, chickpeas, tahini, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, cumin, and salt in a food processor or blender until smooth.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 15 oz can chickpeas, drained
6 garlic gloves
1/4 cup tahini
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup parmasean
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/4 tsp cumin
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cut the top of a garlic head off to expose the bulbs. Place the garlic on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to enwrap it. Spray with just a bit of olive oil and salt and pepper. Wrap the garlic, place on a baking sheet & bake 40 minutes in the oven. Remove the garlic from the oven and remove from the aluminum foil. Allow it to cool 20 minutes. To a food processor or blender, add all the ingredients for the hummus including the garlic and process until smooth. Transfer the hummus to a bowl and enjoy!
