FROUTA KE YAOURTI (GREEK FRUIT SALAD)
This is another recipe I found on the Food By Country website. It differs from the only other Greek Fruit Salad recipe already posted on Recipezaar by its use of different spices and nuts.

- In serving bowl, gently stir fruit and almonds together; set aside.
- In a separate bowl combine yogurt, honey, and lemon rind.
- Fill individual dessert bowls with fruit salad. Spoon yogurt mixture over fruit salad, and sprinkle the top with additional almond slivers (optional).

Steps:
- Cut the melon in half and remove the flesh carefully so as to leave the rind intact allowing it to be used as a pair of bowls.
- Cut the removed melon flesh into 1-inch pieces.
- In a large bowl mix the fruit and the almonds. Divide the mixture between the two melon rinds.
- In a small pan mix the honey and wine (or grape juice) and heat over a low flame stirring until the honey is dissolved.
- Pour the honeyed wine over the fruit in the two melon halves.
- Refrigerate the whole for about an hour prior to serving.
ANCIENT GREEK FRUIT SALAD

Steps:
- Cut the melon in half and carefully remove the flesh and cut into small pieces. Mix the melon with the rest of the cut fruit, the almonds and the grapes and fill the melon skins with this mixture. On a low heat, warm the wine with the honey, mixing well. Pour this mixture over the fruit. Before serving, the fruit should be put in the refrigerator for an hour.
