FRUIT, VEGGIE, AND TUNA SALAD WRAP



Fruit, Veggie, and Tuna Salad Wrap image

A quick and delicious recipe that can be eaten as a salad, a wrap, a sandwich, or however you choose. I find the apples and carrots add a nice sweetness, and the blueberries add a nice *pop.*

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
4 cups chopped fresh spinach
1 large carrot, shredded
1 apple, cored and diced
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup fresh blueberries
4 (10 inch) flour tortillas

Steps:

  • Combine the tuna with the mayonnaise in a bowl, and mix until well combined.
  • Mix together the spinach, carrot, apple, mozzarella cheese, and blueberries in a bowl, and gently fold in the tuna salad, making sure not to crush the blueberries.
  • Microwave the flour tortillas for about 10 seconds, until slightly warmed and pliable. Scoop about 1 1/2 cups of the spinach-tuna mixture into the center of each tortilla, fold up the bottom 2 inches to enclose the filling, wrap, and serve.

Granny's Summer Fruit and Veggie Salad image

This is a recipe that my grandmother would make in the summer to go with her famous fried chicken and mash potatoes. I hope everyone likes it.

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 - red apples
1 - green apple
2 - carrot, shredded
1/2 - celery stalk diced
1/2 cup(s) raisins
2 to 3 tablespoon(s) mayonnaise
1/2 tablespoon(s) sugar
- salt and lemon juice to taste

Steps:

  • Prepare all ingredients and put into a large bowl. Toss all ingredients together except salt and lemon juice until fruit and vegetables are well coated. Add salt and lemon juice to your taste. Serve on a lettuce leaf on salad plate.
  • Try these add ins: grilled chicken breast strips or pecans or walnuts. You might even like to add dried cranberries.

2 cucumbers, sliced
1 head of romaine lettuce, cut apart
2 Roma tomatoes, cubed
2 pears, pitted, sliced
1 cup of strawberries, sliced
1 white nectarine, sliced
1 pinch salt
1 pinch cracked black pepper
cup 1 to 1 1/2 (s) Kraft Ranch Dressing
1 cup Kraft Cheddar Cheese, optional

Steps:

  • Combine in a large bowl, the first 6 ingredients. Add the salt and pepper. Toss three to four times.
  • Throng the salad into a cold salad bowl. Top salad with cheese.
  • Pour the Kraft Ranch Dressing into the salad.
