1-1/2 pounds ground beef
2 large green peppers, diced
1 medium onion, diced
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) great northern beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) chicken broth
1 medium carrot, chopped
1 celery rib, chopped
2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
2-1/2 teaspoons pepper blend
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Hot cooked rice
Sour cream
Shredded Colby cheese

Steps:

  • In a stockpot, cook the beef, green peppers and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain. Add the tomatoes, beans, broth, carrot, celery, jalapenos and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1-1/2 hours or until thick and bubbly. , Serve with rice, sour cream and cheese.

My family isn't into spicy foods, so this chili is a nice mild version we enjoy on cold days with some cornbread muffins. I often use Elk burger in place of hamburger. Yummy!

1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained
1 onion, finely chopped, cooked with beef
1 pkg mild chili seasoning
2 large cans tomato sauce
2 large cans diced tomatoes
1 can(s) black beans, rinsed & drained
1 can(s) pinto beans
1 can(s) red kidney beans, rinsed & drained
2 can(s) chili beans

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients. Simmer for about 15 minutes, till liquids are reduced.

1 lb. each boneless beef stew meat and pork for stew, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup KRAFT Zesty Italian Dressing
1 large each green and red bell pepper, chopped
1 jar (16 oz.) TACO BELLĀ® Thick & Chunky Salsa
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium beef broth
1 Tbsp. chili powder
2 cans (15 oz. each) black beans, rinsed
4 cups hot cooked long-grain brown rice

Steps:

  • Brown meat with onions in dressing in Dutch oven or large deep skillet on medium-high heat 5 min., stirring occasionally. Add peppers; cook 2 to 3 min. or until crisp-tender.
  • Add salsa, broth and chili powder; stir. Bring to boil. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 1 hour or until meat is tender.
  • Stir in beans; cook, uncovered, 30 min. Serve over rice.
