My family loves this with pork roast. This dish goes well with chicken or pork.

2 cups bread crumbs
1 (15 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup white sugar
½ cup margarine, melted
2 eggs, beaten

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  • Stir bread crumbs, pineapple, sugar, margarine, and eggs together in a bowl. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until hot and bubbling, about 30 minutes.

This is the perfect accompaniement to Baked Ham and it is just as good to eat the leftovers cold. This was handed down to me by my Grandmother and I have taken this to many a holiday dinner.

6 cups bread, cubed with the crusts cut off
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 (20 ounce) can chunk pineapple

Steps:

  • Cream sugar, butter and eggs till foamy.
  • Fold in bread cubes.
  • Add pineapple with juice and stir in easy.
  • Place all in a 13 x 9 in pan.

1/2 c milk
5 slice bread, cubed
1/4 c pineapple chunks in light syrup

Steps:

  • 1. Cream sugar and butter.
  • 2. Add eggs, milk, bread cubes and pineapple chunks with juice.
  • 3. Toss together.
  • 4. Bake one hour at 350 in one large oblong flat pan or two small square pans.
  • 5. Can be doubled easily and may be served with ham, or as a dessert.
