Yield 72 caramels

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups sugar
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
1 cup milk
1 cup Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream
1 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Butter 13x9-inch pan; set aside.
  • Combine all ingredients except vanilla in heavy 4-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until butter is melted and mixture comes to a boil.
  • Continue cooking 25-30 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 244°F or small amount of mixture dropped into ice water forms a firm ball.
  • Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Pour into prepared pan. Cool completely. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Cut into 1 1/2x1-inch pieces; wrap candies in plastic food wrap. Store refrigerated.

Easy and delicious old-fashioned peanut butter candy.

1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups powdered sugar (for candy)
powdered sugar (optional if you want to roll the candy in this.)
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Place waxed paper on the counter and put half the dough onto the paper.
  • Roll out (like playdough!) into a long snake. Repeat with the second half of the dough.
  • Wrap in the wax paper and refrigerate for 20 minutes (this is optional).
  • Optional: roll the peanut butter roll in powdered sugar. You can also add tiny chocolate chips as a mix-in when making this recipe!)
  • Slice the candy and wrap each piece in a square of wax paper.

2 cups white sugar
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
¾ cup milk
1 pinch salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
⅓ cup crunchy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Butter an 8x8x2 inch square pan. Set aside.
  • In a 2 quart saucepan with a candy thermometer inserted, cook sugar, light corn syrup, milk, and salt, until thermometer reads 234 degrees F (112 degrees C). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peanut butter.
  • Put peanut butter mixture in a large mixing bowl and beat until mixture begins to thicken. Pour into prepared pan. Chill until completely cooled. Cut into squares.

I love experimenting with cookies and cakes. I came up with this because I put all the things I love together! They are easy,quick and everyone loves them!

2 cups rolled oats
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup margarine
1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix
2 egg whites
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup pecans (chopped)
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Crust:.
  • Mix oats, brown sugar and flour.
  • Using a pastry tool, cut margarine into mix until completely blended.
  • Press mix firmly into bottom of a 9x13 greased cake pan.
  • Set aside.
  • Mix:.
  • Mix cake mix, egg whites, butter and peanut butter until smooth.
  • Carefully spread over the oatmeal mix evenly in pan.

1-1/2 cups chunky peanut butter
