RESTAURANT STYLE BLACK BEAN SOUP

- In a large saucepan, combine refried black beans, salsa and chicken stock. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish each serving with a dollop of sour cream and green onion.

- In 4-quart Dutch oven, heat broth to boiling. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese; reduce heat to medium.
- Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender. Sprinkle with cheese.

EL PASO BEAN SOUP

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, saute onion, carrot, and garlic in oil until tender.
- Stir in broth and refried beans and whisk until smooth.
- Stir in the beans, ham, parsley, cumin, chili powder, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Stir in the tomatoes and heat through.
