2 -3 cherry tomatoes
vodka
kosher salt
Tabasco sauce or hot sauce
toothpick, for serving

Steps:

  • Poke holes in tomatoes and put in tall glass or jar.
  • Pour vodka over top.
  • Add a couple of drops of hot sauce.
  • Let sit several hours so that the vodka gets in the tomatoes.
  • Serve on toothpicks with salt on the side to dip in if desired.

3 large celery stalks, plus additional stalks for serving
3 teaspoons prepared horseradish
2 teaspoons grated yellow onion
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (2 lemons)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco, or to taste
1 (46 ounce) can Sacramento tomato juice
2 cups vodka

Steps:

  • Cut the celery in large dice, including the leaves, and puree in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Add the horseradish, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, kosher salt, and Tabasco and puree it again. Pour the tomato juice into a 2 1/2-quart container, stir in the celery and seasonings mixture, then add the vodka and chill. Place a few ice cubes in each glass, pour in the Bloody Mary mixture, and garnish with a celery stick.

We served these appetizers at a dinner party we catered and the only problem was, we ran out! They are awesome! You can make up the skewers ahead of time for your guess or allow them to do make up their own. Feel free to use any flavor of vodka you like. Plain, citrus, etc. Enjoy!

1 pint cherry tomatoes
2/3 cup peppar vodka
2 tablespoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon thyme, fresh, minced
2 tablespoons celery salt
8 ounces stuffed green olives, small
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese cubes
24 toothpicks, round

Steps:

  • Rinse tomatoes and removes stems.
  • Skewer tomatoes 6 times with a toothpick.
  • Place the tomatoes in a bowl and cover with vodka. Allow to marinate for several hours. *Drain off the vodka and reserve for drinkable Bloody Marys.

  • Place small green stuffed olives in bowl #1.
  • Place cheddar cheese cubes in bowl #2.
  • For dipping:.
  • Combine the salt and thyme in a small bowl #3.
  • Place celery salt into small bowl #4.
  • Let your guests skewer the tomatoes, cheese and olives and dip in their favorite seasoning.
