This easy seafood salad was inspired by a dish I had in the Bahamas that featured conch. I substituted crab and shrimp and like it even more! -Cindy Heyd, Edmond, Oklahoma

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 medium orange
1 medium lemon
1 medium lime
1/2 pound peeled and deveined cooked shrimp (31-40 per pound), coarsely chopped
1/2 pound refrigerated fresh or imitation crabmeat, coarsely chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet onion
2 tablespoons finely chopped sweet red pepper
Shredded lettuce
Assorted crackers

Steps:

  • Finely grate zest from orange. Cut orange crosswise in half; squeeze juice from orange. Transfer zest and juice to a large bowl. Repeat with lemon and lime. Add shrimp, crab, onion and pepper; toss to coat. Serve on lettuce with crackers.

A restaurant quality seafood salad--no pasta, just veggies and whatever seafood you choose to add. This is a basic recipe; feel free to add your own spin (shredded carrots, diced green or red peppers, red cabbage, seasonings).

2 pounds cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound imitation crabmeat, flaked
1 head cabbage, diced
1 bunch celery, diced
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons white sugar

Steps:

  • Gently mix the shrimp, imitation crabmeat, cabbage, celery, and green onions together in a large bowl. Stir the mayonnaise and sugar together in a separate bowl until the sugar is dissolved into the mayonnaise; add to the shrimp mixture and gently stir until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  • Refrigerate for 3 hours to allow the cabbage to soften and the flavors to blend.

1 ½ (8 ounce) packages tri-color pasta
1 cup mayonnaise, or to taste
3 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 ½ tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
1 pound imitation crabmeat
2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
6 carrots, diced
3 stalks celery, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
½ sweet onion, diced

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the tri-color pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until cooked through yet firm to the bite, 8 to 10 minutes. Rinse pasta under cold water until cool; drain.
  • Whisk mayonnaise, milk, vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper together in a large bowl until smooth. Add pasta, imitation crabmeat, peas, carrots, celery, green pepper, and onion; mix until evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate to let flavors combine, at least 5 hours.

2 boxes Ranch and Bacon flavored pasta salad
1 pound imitation or real crabmeat.
1 pound cooked medium shrimp,peeled and deveined.
1 cup mayonaise
1 teaspoon paprika(optional)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Transfer pasta to large mixing bowl. Add seasoning packets and mix well. Add shrimp and crabmeat(if using real crab,be sure to pick through it and remove all shell fragments). Stir in mayonaise and mix until combined. Sprinkle paprika over salad. Do not stir. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
