1 1/2 pounds ham steaks
8 canned pineapple rings, drained
2 tablespoons pineapple juice from can
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  • Place the ham steaks on the lined sheet and arrange pineapples rings over top.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, mustard, brown sugar and cloves. Drizzle over top of ham steaks.
  • Bake for 10-15 minutes until ham steaks are warmed and glaze is just browned. Serve immediately.

1 tablespoon whole cloves
2 bone-in fully cooked ham steaks (1/2 inch thick and 1 pound each)
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Drain pineapple, reserving juice. Insert cloves into edges of ham steaks. Place one ham steak in a greased shallow baking pan. Spread pineapple over ham; top with the second ham steak. Pour reserved pineapple juice over ham. Combine brown sugar and mustard; sprinkle over the top. , Bake, uncovered, 40 minutes or until a thermometer reads 140°, basting occasionally with pan juices. Discard cloves.

1 (15.25 ounce) can sliced pineapple, drained with juice reserved
1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained
1 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Before baking ham, place pineapple slices on ham with toothpicks and place cherries in center of pineapple.
  • In a medium microwave safe bowl combine brown sugar and reserved pineapple juice. Mix together and microwave for about 5 minutes, until mixture is thick. Pour some of this glaze over the ham about every 15 minutes in the last hour of baking, until all is used.

1/4 cup apricot preserves or 1/4 cup apricot-pineapple preserves
