BOURBON WIENERS
Great appetizer. Family favorite for many years. Make them in a pan or a slow cooker. You can use uncut small smoky sausages, too.

DRUNKEN HOT DOGS
My mother used to make this and now it's a favorite for our family whether it's a football game, or get together. We have served it over hot rice or with toothpicks as an appetizer.

Steps:
- 1. Slice all franks in half length-wise then into thirds or fourths (depending on what you consider bite size; one frank will give you 6-8 pieces) Side note on choice of frank: I have found that the Farmer John brand plumps up and absorbs the sauce better than other brand of franks we've tried.
- 2. Add Beer, Ketchup, salt, dry mustard, and worcestershire to pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- 3. Add onion, bell pepper, garlic and franks. Continue to boil over medium low heat. Stir every 8-10 mins. Cook until onions and bell pepper have softened. Serve once cooled down a bit.
- 4. I have also let this cook on low in the crock pot overnight. Just add all ingredients into the crock pot, stir and set to low. In the am, stir again and let it sit on warm until you need it!
