This cool, light and pretty salad has a refreshing orange taste that complements any big meal. With just five ingredients, it's very simple to prepare. I've served it to my family and shared it at potlucks. -Priscilla Weaver, Hagerstown, Maryland

1 package (6 ounces) orange gelatin
2 cups boiling water
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
Maraschino cherry, fresh mint stem and mandarin oranges, optional

Steps:

  • In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in water. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually blend in the hot gelatin mixture, beating on low speed until smooth. Stir in milk; fold in whipped topping. , Transfer to a 2-1/2-qt. serving bowl. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until firm. If desired, garnish with a flower made of cherry, mint and oranges.

1 cup orange juice

Steps:

  • In medium bowl, beat pudding mix and orange juice with wire whisk 2 minutes. Refrigerate 5 minutes. Fold in whipped topping.

1/3 cup thawed orange juice concentrate
1 package (3.4 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix
3/4 cup sour cream
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple tidbits, drained
1 can (15-1/4 ounces) sliced peaches, drained
1 can (11 ounces) mandarin oranges, drained
2 firm bananas, sliced
1 medium apple, chopped

1 package(s) 6 ounce orange jello
2 package(s) 3 ounces each, vanilla pudding not instant
4 1/2 cup(s) water
1 - 12 ounce cool whip
2 can(s) mandarin oranges, drained and chilled

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan add water, jello and pudding and cook until clear, stirring constantly.
  • Chill overnight. Stir by hand real good. Fold in cool whip and drained and chilled oranges. Chill until serving.
