TORNADO CAKE
Texas Tornado Cake is a super easy and fast dessert recipe to whip together in a pinch. With just a few pantry staples you can have this delicious cake ready to serve in less than an hour!

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, stir together all cake ingredients until blended.
- Pour into prepared dish and bake 30-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove to cooling rack and poke holes about 1 inch apart in the cake with a wooden skewer, chopstick, or handle of a wooden spoon.
- Combine butter, vanilla, evaporated milk, and sugar in a medium saucepan. Heat over medium high heat, stirring often, until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in nuts and coconut flakes. Pour mixture over the cake while it is still hot and spread evenly. Let topping set a few minutes before serving for best results.

Steps:
- Place first 6 ingredients in a bowl & mix until blended with spoon.
- Pour into 13x9 inch cake pan.
- Bake at 350°F 35-40 minutes.
- For Icing: Mix butter, sugar and evaporated milk together and cook over medium heat until a little thickened. (This usually takes about 5 minutes at a boil).
- Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients.
- Pour over hot cake.

- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13" baking pan with butter In a large mixing bowl, mix together your flour, sugar, baking soda, eggs, vanilla, and crushed pineapple Pour into your baking pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown Poke several holes in the cake with the handle of a wooden spoon In a medium sized sauce pan, heat your butter, sugar, evaporated milk, and vanilla until it reaches a boil Mix in your pecans and coconut and continue cooking for about 5 minutes on medium heat, stirring constantly Pour your topping evenly over your cake, slice, and enjoy!
