Steps:
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion until meat is brown. Drain. Return meat mixture to pan with tomato paste, tomato soup and water. Cook, stirring, until heated through and thickened, 5 to 15 minutes. Serve over cooked pasta.

DAD'S WORLD FAMOUS SPAGHETTI
Pasta with White Clam Sauce (pg. 343 in The Original New York Times Cookbook by Craig Claiborne) This recipe was the favorite of my wife's father. When people asked about it, he always told them that it was "Dad's World Famous Spaghetti", and in our family, the name stuck.

- In a saucepan, heat the butter, add the garlic, and cook for one minute over moderate heat.
- With a wire whisk, stir in the flour.
- While stirring, add the clam juice.
- Add the parsley, salt, pepper, and thyme.
- Simmer gently for ten minutes.
- Add the minced clams and heat through.
- Serve over linguine or spaghetti.

DAD'S SPAGHETTI SOUP
My father used to make this quick and easy soup for us when our mother was traveling and he was in charge of keeping us fed. It sounds strange, but it's quite yummy!

Steps:
- In a large pot over medium high heat, add the ground beef and saute for 5 to 10 minutes, or until well browned. Add the onion and garlic and saute for 2 more minutes.
- Then add the tomatoes, corn and water. Bring to a boil and add the spaghetti. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the spaghetti is tender.
