1 tablespoon olive oil (divided)
1/2 cup finely chopped onions ((or 1 small onion, finely chopped))
1/2 cup finely chopped green bell peppers
3 cloves garlic (minced)
12 ounces tomato sauce
1/2 cup dry cooking wine or vino seco ((sub for vegetable stock))
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1/3 cup sliced jarred red pimientos
1 bay leaf
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
2 pounds large shrimp (peeled and deveined (tails off, optional))

Steps:

  • In a dutch oven or large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, green peppers and garlic. Sauté for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, wine (or stock), vinegar, pimientos, bay leaf, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil then cover. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until they are fully cooked. Serve over rice or with veggies. Enjoy!

2 tablespoons olive oil
half of a medium onion diced finely ((about 1/2 cup))
half of a green bell pepper diced finely ((about 1/2 cup))
4 large garlic cloves - minced
8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup white wine
1/3 cup green Spanish olives ((plus a tablespoon of the brine))
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 heaping teaspoon salt
1 pinch black pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
1 and 1/2 pounds medium sized shrimp ((peeled, deveined, and tail-off))

Steps:

  • Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat and add in the olive oil, onions, and green peppers. Sauté until the onions and peppers soften.
  • Add in the garlic and 2 tablespoons from the can of tomato sauce. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add in the remaining tomato sauce, water, white wine, olives, oregano, salt, pepper, and cumin. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes, uncovered.
  • After the 5 minutes, add in the shrimp and simmer, covered for 10 minutes.
  • Serve immediately over white rice.

½ cup yellow onion, finely diced
½ cup green pepper, finely diced

½ teaspoon McCormick® chili powder
½ teaspoon McCormick® dried oregano
⅛ teaspoon Mccormick® ground cumin
1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
½ teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 ½ lb medium raw shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails removed
2 cups white rice, cooked, for serving
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat the olive oil in a large, high-walled skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and green pepper and cook until softened, but not browned, 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce, stir, and cook for another 2 minutes, until fragrant.
  • Stir in the remaining tomato sauce, the white wine, capers, McCormick® Chili Powder, McCormick® Dried Oregano, McCormick® Ground Cumin, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes for the flavors to incorporate. Season with more salt to taste.
  • Stir in the shrimp, cover, and cook for 7-10 minutes, until the shrimp are cooked through.
  • Serve immediately over rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

⅛ teaspoon salt, and more to taste
⅛ teaspoon baking soda
5 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
¾ teaspoon oil
½ yellow onion, chopped
1 celery, sliced
½ bell pepper, sliced
½ tablespoon tomato paste
¼ can crushed tomatoes
½ teaspoon cajun seasoning
⅛ teaspoon ground red pepper
½ tablespoon worcestershire sauce
¼ cup water
black pepper
1 ½ green onions, sliced

Steps:

  • Mix ⅛ tsp salt and baking soda in a bowl. Place shrimp in bowl and mix to coat. Set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Next, heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Add yellow onion, celery, and bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes. Add tomato paste and cook until darkened, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add tomatoes, cajun seasoning, ground red pepper, worcestershire sauce, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium- low and simmer covered for until thickened, about 3-5 minutes. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
  • Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Top with green onions and serve warm.
