4 cups water, divided
2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
2 cups pink grapefruit juice
1 can (12 ounces) frozen pink lemonade concentrate, thawed
3 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
Orange or lemon slices and maraschino cherries, optional

Steps:

  • Combine 1/4 cup water and sugar in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds or until the sugar dissolves; cool. In a large pitcher, combine the grapefruit juice, lemonade concentrate, cherry juice, sugar mixture and remaining water. Chill. Serve over ice. Garnish with orange or lemon slices and cherries if desired.

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
peels from 1/2 an orange
2 L ruby red grapefruit juice (I used a 1.89L bottle)
2 L club soda or a grapefruit Italian soda
1/4 cup lime juice
1/2 cup orange simple syrup
grapefruit slices
lime slices
pomegranate seeds
ice cubes

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan boil the sugar, water and orange rinds together until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Remove the rinds and strain any orange bits.
  • Set aside.
  • To a large punch bowl add the grapefruit juice, lime juice and orange simple syrup.
  • Mix well.
  • Garnish with slices of grapefruit and limes, and pomegranate seeds.
  • Add the club soda. TIP: Add the club soda (soda water) to the punch right before you want to serve it, to retain as much of the fizz as possible.
  • Add ice immediately before serving.

Feel free to add a clear liquor of your choice for an adults only version (such as white wine, mandarin vodka, or even champagne). Yields about 36 (3-oz) servings. The frozen fruit is an estimated amout, you should make at least 40 cubes for the punchbowl. 4 cups frozen fruit (see description)
2 (24 ounce) bottles white grape juice, well chilled
1 liter ginger ale, well chilled

Steps:

  • While fruit is still frozen, dice into small pieces. Work carefully yet quickly to keep fruit in a frozen state.
  • Place a few bits of frozen fruit bits into each of the ice molds/trays. Pour enough chilled white grape juice to fill trays. Pour into mini muffin tins or ice trays and freeze solid.
  • Once fully frozen, place in a large Ziploc bag until needed.
