6 beef cubed steaks (8 ounces each)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)
1 jar (6 ounces) sliced mushrooms, undrained
2 cans (10 3/4 ounces each) condensed golden mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. Place beef in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker, sprinkling onion and mushrooms with liquid between layers of beef. Pour soup over beef.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 7 to 8 hours or until beef is tender.

My mother would make this when I was growing up but not in a crockpot. She has all her recipes in her head pretty much so I tried to duplicate it. I tweeked it a little, so don't tell her, and this is what I came up with. It was so darn good and all ready by the time I got home from work! Love my crockpot!

1 1/2 lb boneless sirloin beef cut in cubes
1/2 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
3 medium potatoes, cut in wedges
1 1/2 c baby carrots
1 medium onion cut in slices
1 can(s) italian diced tomatoes with oregano and garlic
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1 tsp parsley

Steps:

  • 1. Cut your steak into cubes and flatten them a little, place in the flour, salt and pepper in a ziplock bag. Shake and coat the steak. Brown in the olive oil on both sides.
  • 2. In your crockpot layer your potatoes, carrots, beef and onions. In a small bowl combine your mushroom soup with the tomatoes then pour over the top.
  • 3. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until the meat and veggies are tender. Sprinkle with parsley before serving. Enjoy.
  • 4. Note: If you do not use a liner, remember to spray your crockpot with cooking spray to prevent any sticking and to make clean up easier.

2 lbs beef round steak
1/2 cup flour
4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 onions, sliced
4 carrots, sliced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a skillet, then coat the steak with flour and brown in the oil.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and drain.
  • Place the potatoes, carrots and onion in the bottom of the Crock-Pot.
  • Place the steak on top of the vegetables and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the tomatoes and tomato sauce over the meat.
  • Cover; cook on Low for 10 hours or on High for 6 hours.

1/2 cup Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Beef Broth
28 oz Petite Diced Tomatoes
2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 Onion (Diced into Large Chunks)
1 Green Bell Pepper (Diced into Large Chunks)

Steps:

  • Shake the steaks in flour in a gallon size zip lock bag to coat the steaks thoroughly with the flour.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large sauce pan on medium high heat. Cook the steaks on each sides until slightly brown (approximately 3-5 minutes on each side). Transfer the steaks to the crock pot.
  • Put the remaining ingredients in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the steak is tender.

1 ½ pounds round steak (or cube steaks or minute steaks)
2 carrots (sliced into 1" pieces)
1 stalk celery (sliced into 1" pieces)
½ onion (sliced ½" )
2 cloves garlic (sliced)
¼ cup flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ cup white wine
1 cup beef broth
14 oz canned diced tomatoes, with juice
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon dried thyme leaves
salt and pepper to taste
corn starch for thickening (optional)

Steps:

  • Add sliced carrots, celery, onion, & garlic to the bottom of a slow cooker.
  • Pound steaks with a meat tenderizer to ¼ inch thickness and season with salt and pepper (cube steaks do not need to be pounded). Put flour in a shallow dish or plate and dredge each steak in the flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and brown steaks on both sides, about 2 minutes per side adding more oil if needed.
  • In the same pan, add wine and scrape up any brown bits. Add to the slow cooker with remaining ingredients except for the cornstarch.
  • Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high or until steaks are fork tender.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.

3-pound beef boneless round steak, trimmed of fat and cut into serving-size portions
1 envelope (0.87 ounce) brown gravy mix
1 can (12 ounces) vegetable juice
2 medium stalks celery, cut into 1/2-inch slices
1 package (16 ounces) frozen home-style egg noodles

Steps:

  • Place onions in 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker. Arrange beef on onions, overlapping to fit if needed. Sprinkle gravy mix (dry) over beef. Pour vegetable juice over all. Place celery on top.
  • Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours.
