If you want a super tender beef pot roast, look no further than this easy slow cooker recipe. The cola soda/pop tenderizes the beef and also adds some great flavor to the meat, onions and potatoes.

2 Pounds Beef Pot Roast
1 Medium Yellow Onion (Peeled And Diced)
2 12 Ounce Cans Cola Soda
5 Medium Russet Potatoes (Scrubbed And Cut Into Quarters)
1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
1/4 Teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Steps:

  • Tenderize the beef roast by piercing it all over with the tines of a sturdy fork.
  • Season the roast with garlic salt and black pepper on all sides, rubbing the seasoning into the meat with your hands.
  • Place cut onion in the bottom of a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.
  • Set roast on on top of onions.
  • Add potatoes to the slow cooker.
  • Pour the cola soda over the meat.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or until the roast is fully cooked and tender.
  • Serve and enjoy!

2 -3 lbs chuck roast, cubed
1 (40 g) package dry onion soup mix
1 (12 ounce) can cola
4 medium potatoes, sliced and
4 carrots, sliced layer on the bottom of the crock pot

Steps:

  • Place the meat in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle the soup mix over the meat.
  • Pour the cola over everything.
  • Cover and cook on Low 8-10 hours.
  • Serve as a roast or shredded, mixed with the sauce and serve on buns.

1 beef roast, of choice
1 package onion soup mix
1 (12 ounce) can Coke
red potatoes, halved
carrot, cut in chunks
fresh mushrooms, whole or sliced (optional)
1 can whole kernel corn, drained well

Steps:

  • Use the size roast and the amount of vegetables you need to feed your family.
  • I usually buy a big roast and add lots of the veggies.
  • Put roast in a crock-pot,sprinkle with onion soup mix.
  • Add coke to almost cover the roast.
  • Add carrots to liquid around roast and all other vegetables to top of meat.
  • Cook all day on low (8-10 hours),or on high 5-6 hours.
  • Liquid makes a great gravy.

3 pounds beef rump roast
½ cup Coca Cola
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup orange juice
½ cup molasses
2 cups ketchup
2 Tablespoons minced garlic
1 Tablespoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon garlic salt
dash red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place roast in slow cooker.
  • Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over roast in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on low for 8-9 hours or high for 5 hours.
  • When finished, slice roast and pour extra sauce on top.
