Crispy Chocolate Banana

4 bananas, split into thirds along its natural seam
4 lumpia wrappers
1/2 cup toasted almond slices, save some for garnish
1 egg beaten with 2 tablespoons water (eggwash)
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Top notch vanilla ice cream
1 cup Semisweet Chocolate, small pieces
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup whipped cream
1/4 cup cocoa powder for garnish

Steps:

  • Lay out a wrapper and put together the banana filled with the almonds. Roll like a springroll and seal with eggwash. Fry at 350 degrees until GB&D (Golden Brown and Delicious!). Sprinkle with powdered sugar. To make ganache, scald cream and add to the chocolate. Stir until completely melted.
  • PLATING Place 3 scoops ice cream in a banana boat. Top with fried banana slice on the bias. Top with whipped cream, almonds and drizzle with ganache. Wine Suggestion: Veuve Cliqut Demi Sec

5 very ripe large bananas
1/2 jar marachino cherries, halved
1 box Jell-O Chocolate Pudding Mix
1 1/2 boxes yellow cake mix
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 container (8 oz.) Cool Whip French Vanilla
1 cup Planters Peanuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a 9x13-inch pan, mash bananas and spread evenly. Place maraschino cherries evenly over banana layer.
  • Sprinkle pudding mix on cherries. Crumble cake mix over pudding mix. Pour butter evenly over cake mix (there may be dry spots, that's ok).
  • Bake in oven for 30 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm, spooning cake into bowls, top with Cool Whip and chopped peanuts.

1 - banana sliced in half
1/2 cup(s) each of strawberry, chocolate, and vanilla ice cream, divided
4-5 - fresh strawberries sliced
2-3 - loacker® hazelnut wafers
50 gram(s) 70% chocolate, chopped
9 tablespoon(s) whipped cream
- cherries, to garnish (fresh, or maraschino)

Steps:

  • Heat a small pot with a few inches of water until simmering. Place a heatproof bowl on top of the simmering water, add chocolate pieces and stir until melted.
  • Peel 1 banana and cut in half, placing both pieces in serving bowl.
  • Place 1 scoop strawberry, 1 scoop chocolate, and 1 scoop vanilla on top of the banana halves.
  • Add fresh strawberries and Loacker® Hazelnut Wafers on top.
  • Drizzle melted 70% chocolate over the top and garnish with whipped cream and cherries.
