Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup Mayonnaise
3/4 cup Sour cream
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp pepper to taste
1 lb elbow macaroni
1/2 cup red onion ((about a quarter of a large onion))
2 sticks celery
1 red bell pepper

Steps:

  • Start off by making the creamy salad dressing. In a small bowl combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper.
  • Then dice up the red onion, celery, and bell pepper. You can speed the process up by using a vegetable chopper.
  • Now cook the pasta according to the package or al dente. Once the pasta is cooked, pour out into a colander and quickly rinse it with cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Then add the pasta, chopped vegetables, and creamy dressing into a large bowl and toss to combine. Here you can add additional salt according to your liking. Serve chilled.

CREAMY SPICY PASTA SALAD

Creamy Spicy Pasta Salad image

I was given this recipe by my sons godmothers mother after tasting it at their house. This is no boring usual pub type pasta salad. Creamy, but awakens your tastebuds. Make it up and keep it in the fridge for later use.

Time 25m

Yield 15 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

445 g tomato soup
375 g coleslaw dressing
250 ml steak sauce
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon curry powder
pasta, shapes cooked

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl, mixing well to incorporate flavours.
  • Pour dressing over cold noodles.
  • Left over dressing can be placed in a jar and refrigerated for further use.
  • Coleslaw dressing can be found in the salad dressing section of your supermarket.
  • I have left pasta shapes unweighted as I figure you can make the amount of pasta that you need each time as the dressing will keep in the fridge. The recipe makes a large jar of dressing and it depends on how much you like your pasta coated with it.
  • Please note I have listed the servings as 15 but depends on how much pasta salad each person has. The cooking time is for the pasta shapes.
