The same friend that gave me the yummy apricot balls recipe makes this one also. Not too rummy, adjust taste to your own liking. Can also be frozen and eaten from freezer.

Yield 30-40 balls approx.

Number Of Ingredients 7

220 g sponge cakes
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup full cream milk powder
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
400 g condensed milk
3 tablespoons rum
coconut, for rolling

Steps:

  • Crumble sponge cake.
  • Mix together all ingredients.
  • Roll into small balls.
  • Roll in coconut.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Can be frozen.
  • Ejoy :).
  • Instead of sponge cake you can use any sweet biscuit similar to Marie.

1/2 lb plain sweet biscuit crumbs
2 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
1/2 cup chopped glace cherries
1 (400 g) can condensed milk
3 tablespoons rum

Steps:

  • combine all dry ingredients together.
  • add cherries, condensed milk, rum.
  • mix well.Place in fridge for 1/2-1 hr till mixture is rolling consistency.
  • shape into small balls.
  • roll in coconut.
  • place in refrigerator until firm.
