2 pounds sirloin tips (cubed)
½ yellow onion (finely chopped)
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup heavy whipping cream
½ red wine vinegar
1 package of beef with onion soup mix
1 package of egg noodles
1 tbsp butter

Steps:

  • 1. Place a deep iron skillet on the stove over medium heat.
  • 2. Melt the butter in the skillet and then add in the beef tips and diced onion.
  • 3. Cook for five minutes until all the beef is cooked and onion is translucent.
  • 4. In a medium sized mixing bowl add in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, heavy whipping cream, beef with onion soup mix and red wine vinegar.
  • 5. Stir thoroughly till combined.
  • 6. Pour the mixture in the skillet and stir until beef is completely covered.
  • 7. Turn the temperature down to medium-low and cook for 2 hours. Stirring occasionally.8. Turn down to low and cook for an additional 4 hours until beef tips fall apart.
  • 9. Place a large pot of water with salt on the stove over high heat.
  • 10. Wait for the water to boil and then add in the egg noodles.
  • 11. Cook for about five minutes or until al dente'.
  • 12. Drain and rinse under cold water.
  • 13. Scoop the beef and gravy mixture on top of noodles.

2 pounds sirloin tips, cubed
½ yellow onion, chopped
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
½ cup red wine
1 (1.25 ounce) package beef with onion soup mix
2 (16 ounce) packages egg noodles

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saute beef sirloin tips with onion in the hot skillet until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir cream of mushroom soup, milk, red wine, and beef with onion soup mix together in a bowl, pour into the skillet, and stir to coat beef in the soup mixture; bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low, place a cover on the skillet, and cook until the beef tips are tender, about 2 hours.
  • Reduce heat to lowest setting and continue cooking until the beef pulls apart easily with a fork, at least 4 hours more.
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Ladle beef tips mixture over egg noodles.

Beef Tips with Egg Noodles image

I wanted to make beef tips and noodles but couldn't find a recipe that I liked. I came up with this one and it turned out pretty good!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2-2 lbs boneless chuck roast
1 small onion, chopped
3 beef bouillon cubes
3 cups water
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 -3 tablespoons cornstarch or 2 -3 tablespoons flour
2 -3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Trim meat of fat and cut into bite sized pieces.
  • Brown meat in pan, seasoning with garlic and onion powders.
  • Meanwhile, bring 3 cups water to a boil in a big pot and add bouillon cubes to make a broth.
  • Add chopped onion and Worcestershire sauce to broth.
  • When meat is done, add to broth.
  • Cover and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour, or until tender.
  • Make a roux with the corn starch and remaining water and add to pot, stirring, in order to thicken the sauce to your liking.
  • Serve over buttered egg noodles.
