This Easy Garlic Bacon Pasta Recipe is going to be your go-to weeknight meal when you need a quick dinner on the table in just 10 minutes. With just 5 ingredients - pasta, olive oil, garlic, bacon, and salt, you can have a delicious dinner! (Parmesan and parsley are optional but so good!) You can use spaghetti, linguine, or even angel hair pasta for this recipe. But make sure to keep the bacon fats as that is where the magic happens.

1 tbsp salt
1 lb dried spaghetti
10-12 strips thick cut bacon (- see note 1)
1/4 cup olive oil
6 large garlic cloves
chopped fresh parsley (- garnish)
freshly grated Parmesan cheese (- garnish)

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil, then add the salt and cook the pasta for 1 minute less than the packet suggests.1 tbsp salt1 lb dried spaghetti
  • Once the pasta is cooked reserve 2 1/2 cups of the pasta cooking water and then drain the pasta.
  • Chop the bacon into smallish dice, add a tablespoon of the olive oil to a frying pan then cook the bacon over medium high for 4-5 minutes until crispy.10-12 strips bacon2 tbsp olive oil
  • Whilst the bacon is cooking peel and thinly slice the garlic.6 cloves garlic
  • Once the bacon is crisp, remove it from the pan using a slotted spoon, leaving the oil and bacon grease behind.
  • Reduce the heat under the pan and add the remaining olive oil and the sliced garlic. Stir constantly for 2 minutes and as soon as the garlic has softened but not yet colored, add 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water and turn the heat back up.3 tbsp olive oilchopped garlic1/2 cup pasta cooking water
  • Boil this mixture for a minute then add in the now drained pasta, keeping the frying pan on the heat.
  • Add a further 1/2 cup of pasta water and toss and stir the pasta in the sauce until it is cooked to your liking. You might need to add more pasta water.1/2-1 cup extra pasta cooking water
  • Once your garlic 'sauce' has coated the pasta, add the cooked bacon and any collected juices back into the pasta then season to taste. (Depending on the saltiness of your bacon you might need salt, but it willdefinitly want some pepper)
  • Serve garnished with fresh parsley and grated parmesan.

1 pound spaghetti
10 slices bacon (, cut into small pieces)
3 large eggs (, yolks)
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1 cup Parmesan (, shaved)
1 cup frozen peas

Steps:

  • Cook the pasta in a large pot to one minute less than the directions on the box and keep 1/2 cup of pasta water to the side to drain pasta (do not rinse pasta).
  • In a large skillet add the bacon and cook it until crisp then turn off the heat and remove the bacon with a slotted spoon then add the pasta and toss it in the bacon fat.
  • Add the eggs, salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese to a large bowl and whisk well before adding slowly while tossing the hot pasta quickly to prevent it from scrambling.
  • Add in 1/4 cup of the pasta water and peas, tossing again to create a saucy consistency to the pasta then topping with bacon before serving.

15 slices bacon
12 ounces egg noodles
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Fry the bacon until it's crispy, drain on paper towels and crumble.
  • Cook egg noodles as directed on package, drain and toss with the 2 tablespoons butter.
  • In a 2 quart casserole layer as follows: 1/4 of the noodles, 1/4 of the sour cream, 1/4 of the cheddar cheese, 1/4 of the bacon and 1/4 of the onion.
  • Repeat these layers 3 more times.

1 medium onion, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

1 package (12 ounces) egg noodles or fettuccine, cooked and drained
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon

  • In a Dutch oven, saute the cabbage, onion, salt and pepper in butter until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes. , Combine cream and flour; gradually add to vegetables. 16 ounces shredded cabbage (any coleslaw mix)
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 -2 slice bacon, diced
12 ounces wide egg noodles, cooked
1 teaspoon dried thyme or 1 teaspoon dill weed
sour cream or yogurt

Steps:

  • Melt butter in deep pan.
  • Add the bag of shredded cabbage.
  • Cook down until cabbage is nicely browned, at least an hour.
  • Stir occasionally at first, then frequently as the cabbage starts to brown.
  • Mix-in salt (to taste) and pepper.
  • Push the cabbage over to one side of the pan.
  • Add the bacon to the cleared area and fry until very crispy, or fry in a separate pan.
  • When bacon is done, combine all contents of pan together.
  • Gently mix-in the cooked egg noodles and dried spice, and warm on low heat.
  • Taste to adjust seasonings.
  • If desired, garnish with sour cream or yogurt and a sprinkle of thyme.

6 green onions, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup light cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed

2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 (16 ounce) package wide egg noodles, cooked according to package directions and drained
