I got this recipe from a former church member. It was a family recipe of hers. I get tons of compliments when I make it. Its delicious!

16 oz cream cheese, softened
2 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
1 c granulated sugar
GLAZE
1 c powdered sugar
3 Tbsp milk

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray 9x13 dish with cooking spray. Blend cream cheese with cup of granulated sugar until smooth. Unroll one tube of Crescent Rolls and lay in baking dish, top with cream cheese mixture, and finally with other tube of crescent rolls. Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 2. Remove and let cool for 5 minutes before topping with glaze.
  • 3. To make glaze combine powdered sugar with milk, whisk until smooth. Drizzle on warm pastry.

We usually make this candy for Christmas,but I have also made this candy for Baby and Bridal showers. Very Creamy and smooth, Delicious!

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/4 cup butter (No Substitutions)
2 lbs powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon flavoring
food coloring

Steps:

  • Combine Cream cheese and Butter in heavy bottom sauce pan. Stir over low heat till both are soft. Add Powdered sugar. Stir until well combined. Add flavoring. Seperate candy into small amounts and add food coloring to each amount.
  • Shape into small balls and press with a fork. Or be creative and make different shapes or use candy molds. Put onto wax paper and let dry till set. Put into a covered container.
  • I make mine with peppermint flavoring or Butter flavoring. Very rich and delicious.
  • Servings vary depending on how big or small you make the mints.
