1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup water
⅔ cup shortening
1 egg
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon apple pie spice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well, then add water, shortening, and egg. Mix on low speed until ingredients are combined, then beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Spread into pie pan.
  • In a medium bowl mix together pie filling, lemon juice, and apple pie spice. Spread over crust; do not stir.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 45 minutes, until crust is browned.

  • preheat oven to 180 Celsius grease a 9 inch pie dish.
  • using an electric mixer, beat the flour, butter, sugar, salt, milk and egg until well combined.
  • pour batter into dish.
  • pour in pie filling, starting in centre and moving to 1 inch away from the edge of the dish.
  • sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. DO NOT STIR ANYTHING.

My Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie Recipe is a gooey cookie in a pie crust - this original recipe is better than Toll House Pie and is SO GOOD!

1 9-inch All Butter Pie Crust (or use a store bought crust)
½ cup (113g) Challenge Unsalted Butter (, melted)
⅓ cup (67g) granulated sugar
½ cup (150g) packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups (186g) all-purpose flour
1 ½ cups (255g) chocolate chips (, plus a few more for sprinkling on top the pie)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Place pie crust in pie plate and crimp edges as desired. Chill until ready to fill.
  • Add melted butter to a large bowl, followed by both sugars. Stir with a wooden spoon or use a hand mixer until smooth.
  • Mix in egg, vanilla baking soda, and salt. Then add flour and stir until thick.
  • Add chocolate chips and stir until well mixed.
  • Spread cookie batter into prepared pie crust. Sprinkle with about ¼ cup additional chocolate chips on top.
  • Cover pie with a pie shield and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 425°F. Then lower the oven temperature to 350°F and continue to bake until the cookie is puffed, no longer glossy on top, and light golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  • Cool at least to room temperature before slicing. This pie slices messy before it's cooled but it tastes so good warm or room temperature.
  • Serving suggestions: ice cream, chocolate sauce, whipped cream or plain.
  • Store covered at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

4 Tbsp melted unsalted butter, divided
2 medium apples, peeled, cored and diced (I use gala)
6 Tbsp. light brown sugar, packed
1 TBsp ground cinnamon
30 caramels, unwrapped and divided (I use Kraft)
All purpose flour (for dusting)
12 frozen white dinner roll dough balls (I use Rhodes)
2 Tbsp. heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 Butter an 8x8 baking pan with 2 TBsp of the butter and set aside Combine the apples, 2 TBsp of brown sugar and the cinnamon in a medium bowl and toss to coat. Set aside. Unwrap the caramels and cut 18 of them into quarters. Set aside. Lightly flour your counter top Flatten each dough ball into a circle about 3 inches across. You can use a rolling pin or you can pull the dough around the edges like your are making a mini pizza. Add 1 TBsp of the apple mixture and 6 of the cut caramel pieces. Carefully pull each side over the center to create a package and then roll the dough into a ball. Be careful to make sure you cannot see through the dough. If you have any tears or can't seal the dough, tap your fingertips in flour, pinch any tears and roll again. Place the dough ball in the prepared dish, seam side down. Repeat until all of the apple pie bombs are in the dish. Brush the apple pie bombs with the remaining 2 Tbsp of melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining 4 Tbsp of brown sugar. Bake the bombs for 30-35 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and they are no longer doughy. Meanwhile place the remaining 12 caramels and the heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl and microwave until melted, 30 seconds at a time, stirring after each interval. Once you have a smooth mixture, set aside to cool Remove the apple pie bombs from the oven and drizzle with the caramel sauce Serve and enjoy

1 TBLS Cinnamon
2 TBLS White Sugar
30 Caramels Unwrapped
2 TBLS Butter, melted
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
2 TBLS Heavy Cream
Flour for Dusting

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350* Place dinner rolls on a microwave safe plate and microwave on defrost for about 2 minutes. (or until dough is no longer frozen) Butter a small casserole dish (9x6) and set aside. Peel, core and dice apples. Place them in a medium size bowl. Add white sugar and cinnamon. Toss to coat. Set aside. Unwrap and cut 18 caramels into quarters. Set aside. Lightly flour your countertop. Toss 1 piece of dough in flour,flatten and stretch like your making a pizza. Stretch dough to about 3" across. Reserve 1/4 Cup of apple mixture. Add a TBLS. of apple mixture and 6 of the cut caramel pieces. Pull the edges of the dough together to create a ball. If the ball won't seal, tap your fingers into the flour and crimp to seal. Place dough ball into the prepared dish. Repeat until all the apples are in the dish. Brush apples with melted butter. Sprinkle with reserved apple mixture and brown sugar. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the tops are nicely golden brown and they don't appear doughy. While they are baking place the remaining 12 caramels and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted. Stir every 30 sec. until you have a smooth mixture. When they come out of the oven drizzle with the caramel sauce. Enjoy with ice cream if you like!!
