CRAB BUTTER SAUCE
This easy crab butter sauce can be made four different ways. Try it plain, or season with lemon, garlic or cayenne. Serve with crab legs!

Steps:
- Melt the butter over medium-low heat.Allow the butter to melt but not brown.
- As soon as the butter melts, add any extra seasoning if desired (garlic, red pepper or lemon zest).Continue heating 1-2 minutes, or until the seasonings become fragrant.Stir in the lemon juice. Serve warm along with crab legs.

SLOW COOKER CRABAPPLE BUTTER RECIPE
Here's a recipe for crabapple butter that can be made in the slow cooker. It tastes even better than regular apple butter.

Steps:
- Place all the ingredients in a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
- Cook on high, with the lid off (stirring occasionally), for 4 hours, or until you reach your desired consistency. It should be thick, pasty and dark brown, when it's done.
- Refrigerate your crab apple butter for up to 3 weeks. Freeze it, or process it in a water bath canner for 20 minutes, to store it indefinitely.

CRAB LEGS WITH GARLIC BUTTER SAUCE
I ended up getting some snow crab legs on sale at the market. I wanted something a little different from plain steamed, boiled, or grilled crab legs, so I ended up throwing a few things together to make this awesome crab leg dish. Enjoy! This would be great with shrimp as well.

Steps:
- Cut a slit, length-wise, into the shell of each piece of crab.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat; cook the garlic in the butter until translucent; stir in the parsley, salt, and pepper. Continue to heat mixture until bubbling. Add the crab legs; toss to coat; allow to simmer in the butter mixture until completely heated, 5 to 6 minutes.

- Peel, core and quarter the apples. Put them, 2 cups of water and the lemon (cut in half and turned inside out) in a large pot. Bring to a boil and cook until the apples are soft. Remove the lemon and puree the apples until they are the texture of chunky applesauce. Stir in salt and measure out two quarts of apple puree, adding water if its shy. Return the puree to the pot and mix in the sugar and spices. Simmer until its thick and a spoonful on a chilled plate does not run. Pour into glass jars, leaving a 1/4 inch headspace and process 10 minutes in a water bath canner.
