- 1. Mix meat with the one onion (minced), parsley, bread cubes, egg, salt and pepper.
- 2. Make into paddies and fry to brown outside. Remove from pan.
- 3. Put remaining ingredients in pan with the remaining chopped onions and hamburgers. Cover and simmer for about one hour.

- 1. Brown the ground beef and onion in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat.
- 2. Drain off the grease and return to the stove.
- 3. Add the beef broth, salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder and garlic powder. Bring to a boil, then set the heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 40 minutes or until nearly all of liquid is cooked off. Remove from the heat, cover, and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
- 4. To serve: Spoon onto steamed hot dog buns, Top with favorite chili sauce, mustard and diced onions.

This is the closest I could get to my beloved hometown burger shop, Coney Island. You slather this sauce on thin patties and top with American cheese and onions. And that's it! So good! They also put it on hotdogs.

My Grandfather owned a drive-in restaurant back in the 1950's. This is his exact recipe for Coney Dogs from back in the day. I make this on special occasions and it is always hit with friends and family. Enjoy.

- Place the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring to crumble, until beef is browned. Drain. Transfer the beef and onion to a slow cooker and stir in the ketchup, sugar, vinegar and mustard. Season with celery seed, Worcestershire sauce, pepper and salt. Cover and simmer on Low setting for a few hours before serving.
