This is a delicious NO BAKE cookie, with chocolate, peanut butter, and oatmeal. I recieved this recipe from a teacher when I was in the 4th grade, (about 1972), and it has been a favorite in our family since! I usually double (sometimes quadruple) the recipe, and I like extra oatmeal in mine.

1/8 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup butter

Steps:

  • Mix cocoa and milk in a sauce pan.
  • Stir in the sugar and butter and bring to a boil, for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and oatmeal.
  • Drop by spoonful onto waxpaper.
  • Let cool until firm.

2/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup Cocoa Pebbles
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Steps:

  • Mix butter, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients then mix well with the butter mixture. Drop by teaspoonfuls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes or until done. Cool several minutes before removing from pan.

This is my adaptation of a "chocolate chip crunch cookies" recipe I found in a cookbook, since I didn't have all the necessary ingredients for the original recipe. These were very well-received; they're an interesting twist to the regular chocolate chip cookie.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup margarine, melted (or butter)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups Cocoa Pebbles cereal

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Line four cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Combine margarine and sugars in the bowl of an electric mixer; beat until fluffy.
  • Add eggs and vanilla; beat until smooth.
  • Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine.
  • With the mixer on the LOWEST setting, stir in Cocoa Pebbles. (If you prefer, you can do this by hand with a silicone spatula or wooden spoon.).
  • Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. COOKIES WILL SPREAD, so make sure you leave sufficient space between them -- I'd say about two inches.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool for 3-4 minutes on the tray, then remove with a metal spatula and allow to cool completely on a rack.

2 - chocolate pudding snack cups (3.25 ounces each)
1 - egg
1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 1/2 cup(s) all purpose flour
1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1 1/2 cup(s) cocoa pebbles cereal divided
1/2 cup(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two baking sheets with silicone mats or parchment paper, and set aside. Mix butter, pudding, egg, and sugar on low speed with a mixer or vigorously by hand until well combined.
  • Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until all dry ingredients are incorporated. Gently stir in cereal and chocolate chips.
  • Fill a small bowl with about a cup of cereal. Scoop balls of dough with a medium cookie scoop or a heaping tablespoon into the cereal. Roll to coat the tops of the dough balls with cereal, and place them on the prepared baking sheet two inches apart with the cereal-coated side on top. Press the dough balls down slightly to be cookie shaped. Bake in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until centers are set. Allow to serve before serving (with a tall glass of milk).
