I found this recipes a long time ago. The cola and chocolate make this a yummy cake. My daughter took it to work and all the co workers went crazy over it.

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 3/4 c sugar
2 1/2 c flour, sifted
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c oil
1 tsp baking soda
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 eggs
1/2 c buttermilk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c coca cola
BROWNIE FROSTING
3 c confectioners' sugar
1/4 c butter or margarine
3 Tbsp cocoa powder
1/3 c coca cola
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c chopped pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients except vanilla extract and Coca cola. Blend at low sleed of mixer, and thenbeat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  • 2. Add vanilla extract, blending in well by hand. Add Coca cola and blend well by hand.
  • 3. Pour into greased tube or bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool and turn cake onto rack. While cake is warm to touch, top with Brownie frosting.
  • 4. FROSTING: Combine sugar, butter, cocoa, Coca-cola and vanilla in a small bowl. Beat until smooth. Stir in chopped pecans. Spread on warm cake. (May need to return cake to oven to warm after turning out on rack).

Brownie Frosting
3 C. confectioners' sugar
1/4 C. butter or margarine
3 Tbs. cocoa
1/3 C. Coca-Cola
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 C. chopped pecans

Steps:
