8 slices white sandwich bread
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread
8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American
1 small apple, cored, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Spread each bread slice with 1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon Sugar Butter Spread.
  • To assemble sandwiches, layer 4 bread slices, buttered-side down, with 1 slice cheese, 1/4 apple slices and 1 slice cheese; top with remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.
  • Heat 10-inch skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place sandwiches into skillet. Cook, turning once, 6-8 minutes or until sandwiches are golden brown and cheese is melted.

This great ham sandwich with sliced apple and cheddar cheese and served on grilled raisin bread-makes a unique balance between salty and sweet. This sandwich is served at Courtyard Café and Bakery in Fallon,Nevada.

1 large apple, peeled and sliced
3 tsp butter, soft
1/3 c chopped walnuts
1 Tbsp honey
3 Tbsp cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp powdered sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 slice raisin bread
2 slice cheddar cheese
2 slice ham

Steps:

  • 1. In a large skillet sauté apple slices and walnuts in 1 teaspoon butter and all the honey over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes or until lightly tender and lightly toasted.Remove apple slices to a small bowl and set aside.
  • 2. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and cinnamon until smooth. Stir in walnut mixture. Spread over 2 slices of the bread; layer with cheddar cheese, apple and ham slices and remaining bread. Spread remaining butter over the outsides of each sandwich.
  • 3. In a large nonstick panini maker or skillet coated with cooking spray, toast sandwiches for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cheese is melted. (Can make in George Formann Grill)

2 tablespoons honey
4 slices sourdough bread

4-1/2 teaspoons butter, softened

  • Combine mustard and honey; spread 2 tablespoons mixture over two bread slices. Layer with ham, apple and cheese. Spread remaining bread with remaining mustard mixture; place on top. 2 slices raisin bread
1 tablespoon cream cheese
1 apple, sliced
1 generous tablespoon cinnamon sugar
2 tablespoons salted butter, softened
1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Lay out the bread slices and spread them both with cream cheese. Lay the apple slices on one piece of bread. Sprinkle on the cinnamon sugar. Press the 2 slices together.
  • Butter one side of the sandwich and put it on a hot panini maker butter-side down. Butter the other side, close the lid and cook until it's toasted and warmed through. (If you do not have a panini maker, you can grill the sandwich in a skillet, laying another heavy skillet on top of the sandwich to press it together. Turn to grill the other side in the same way.)
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cut in half and serve!

1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
½ Granny Smith apple - peeled, cored and thinly sliced
⅓ cup shredded Swiss cheese

  • Preheat a skillet over medium heat. Lightly brush one side of each slice of bread with the olive oil. Place 1 slice of bread, olive oil side down into the skillet, and arrange the apple slices evenly over the top. Sprinkle the Swiss cheese over the apple, then top with the remaining slice of bread, olive oil-side up.
