18 whole graham crackers, divided into two sets of 9
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 container (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided (4 cups/1 L)
1 package (3.4 ounces) banana cream or vanilla instant pudding and pie filling
1 cup milk
1 lemon
4 large bananas

Steps:

  • Finely chop half of a graham cracker using food chopper. Set aside. Coarsely crumble remaining crackers into a small mixing bowl. For ganache, place chocolate morsels and 1 1/2 cups of the whipped topping into a small bowl. Microwave on HIGH 45-60 seconds or until melted and smooth, stirring every 15 seconds. Combine pudding mix and milk in large mixing bowl. Whisk until mixture begins to thicken. Fold in remaining whipped topping using a spatula. Juice lemon using and measure out 2 tbsp juice. Peel bananas and cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Slice pieces into medium mixing bowl using. Add lemon juice and toss gently. Set aside 12 slices for garnish. To assemble trifle, place half of the crumbled graham crackers over bottom of trifle bowl. Place half of the bananas over the crackers and top with one-third of the ganache. Spread half of the banana filling over ganache, spreading to edges. Repeat layers one at a time. Decorate with remaining ganache. Sprinkle top of trifle with chopped graham cracker. Arrange reserved banana slices around edges of trifle. To get a good visual of the ganache layers, spoon ganache into resealable plastic food storage bag; secure with Twixit! Clip. Trim corner of bag to allow ganache to flow through. Pipe around the inside edges of the bowl, then drizzle remaining ganache over the bananas.

3 cartons (8 ounces each) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided
9 whole chocolate graham crackers, coarsely crushed
2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant banana cream pudding mix
1-1/2 cups coarsely crushed vanilla wafers (about 45 wafers)
5 medium bananas, sliced
Additional wafers, crushed chocolate graham crackers and sliced bananas

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat 1 package cream cheese and 1 can condensed milk until blended. Beat in Kahlua, 1/2 cup milk and chocolate pudding mixes until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in 1 carton whipped topping, then chocolate graham crackers. Set aside., In another large bowl, beat remaining cream cheese and condensed milk until blended. Beat in the remaining 2 cups milk and the banana pudding mixes until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in 1 carton whipped topping, vanilla wafers and bananas., Spread chocolate pudding mixture in the bottom of a 6- or 7-qt. trifle bowl or glass bowl. Layer with 1-1/2 cups whipped topping and banana pudding mixture; top with remaining 1-1/2 cups whipped topping. This is a very easy recipe and can be altered using your favorite pudding flavor. The ingredients for the brownies are specific for Ghirardelli brand, alter if using another brand.

THE BROWNIES
1 pkg brownie mix (i love ghirardelli)
1 egg
1/3 c oil
1/3 c water
PUDDING
3 c cold milk
1 banana
chopped nuts, any variety
chocolate sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Mix egg, oil, and water thoroughly. Add brownie mix and combine until thoroughly moistened. Do not over mix. Bake per package instructions.
  • 2. Combine pudding mix with milk. Mix for several minutes. Refrigerate.
  • 3. In large clear bowl, (or you can use individual clear dessert glasses) cover the bottom with torn pieces of brownie. Top with pudding and sliced banana. Add whipped topping. Repeat 2-3 times, or until you get to the top of your dish. Garnish with chopped nuts, drizzle with chocolate sauce.

1 1/2 cups finely chopped pecans
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened

2 3 ounce packages instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups cold milk
5 - 7 bananas, peeled and sliced into 1/2-inch chunks
1 8 ounce container frozen whipped topping, thawed

  • Preheat oven to 300°F In a large bowl, combine graham-cracker crumbs, coconut, pecans, and sugar. Add melted butter, stirring until well combined. 2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup evaporated skim milk
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/4 cup coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua)
1 (16 ounce) angel food cake, cut into 1 inch cubes
2 (1 1/2 ounce) english toffee-flavored candy bars, crushed
3 cups skim milk
3 (3 1/2 ounce) packages vanilla instant pudding mix (not sugar-free)
2 cups sliced bananas
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip (reduced calorie or fat-free OK)
1 (1 1/2 ounce) english toffee-flavored candy bars, crushed

Steps:

  • Combine sugar, evaporated milk, cocoa and cornstarch in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Cook until sugar dissolves and mixture is thick (about 3 minutes), stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat and stir in coffee liqueur.
  • Set aside to cool.
  • When chocolate mixture is cool, combine with cake cubes in a large bowl.
  • Mix 2 crushed candy bars in with cake mixture.
  • Beat milk and pudding mix at medium speed of a mixer until well-blended.
