A friend served this cool, tangy salad when we visited, and I had to have it. Everyone I serve it to loves it.

2 (12 ounce) bags broccoli (coleslaw)
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup roasted sunflower seeds
2 (3 ounce) packages crushed ramen noodles (uncooked- chicken or original)
1 -2 bunch green onion (chopped)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup oil

Steps:

  • Mix all dry ingredients (except sugar) together, sprinkle with Ramin seasoning.
  • Then mix dressing ingredients, add to salad and mix well.
  • Can be served right away or chilled.

1 bag pre-cut broccoli slaw (found in your grocery store's produce section)
1 pkg Ramen noodles (any flavor) -- reserve seasoning packet
1/4 cup slivered almonds
1 Tbsp sesame seeds (can toast for extra flavor)
1/4 cup salad oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp sugar

Steps:

  • Place broccoli slaw in a salad bowl. Break up the package of Ramen noodles (reserving the seasoning packet), add them to the bowl, along with the almonds and sesame seeds.
  • DRESSING: Combine the oil, vinegar, sugar and contents of seasoning packet in a container. Mix or shake these together to thoroughly blend.
  • Pour the dressing over the other salad ingredients and serve.
