SLOW COOKER CRACK CHICKEN

This Slow Cooker Crack Chicken (Cheddar Ranch Chicken) is an addicting concoction of chicken, cheese, bacon and perfectly seasoned with ranch dressing. Cooking this in the slow cooker takes all the work out of it and makes it a super simple hearty dinner on busy days.

3 pounds Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
2 packets dry ranch seasoning or try my Homemade Ranch Seasoning
2 8 ounce cream cheese
6 slices bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 cup cheddar cheese
chopped green onions for garnish

Steps:

  • In a slow cooker add the chicken to the bottom. Sprinkle with dry ranch seasoning. Top with cream cheese. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours long.
  • Shred the chicken with two forks. Top with bacon and sprinkle with cheese. Cover until melted. Serve on buns, over rice and garnish with green onions.

1 (10 ounce) can chicken
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
Ritz cracker

Steps:

  • Mix together can of chicken, package of powdered ranch, and Mayo. Spread on crackers!
  • You can change the amount of mayo you use depending on if you like it creamier or not. If you like it a little less salty tasting, just add less ranch, you can always add more if you like!

This has been a favorite for many years in my circle of family and friends. Very popular for small gatherings, and is very versatile in terms of what you can serve with it. Easy peasy!!!

2 package(s) (8 ounces each) cream cheese at room temperature
2 package(s) hidden valley buttermilk ranch dressing mix
2 can(s) (3 ounces each) swanson's premium white chicken in water
1/2 cup(s) chopped pecans (optional)

Steps:

  • Allow cream cheese to reach room temperature. Mix in ranch dressing mix.
  • Thoroughly drain canned chicken, and blot with papertowels to remove any remaining moisture.
  • Add chicken and chopped pecans to cream cheese mixture.
  • Chill 4-6 hours and serve with Wheat Thins, fresh veggies, or your favorite crackers.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup mayonnaise

I found a recipe at hiddenvalley.com and altered it awhile back. It was a hit with my kids (the picky eaters!) and my dh too...so I decided to post it.

1/2 cup club cracker crumb
1/2 cup shredded pizza cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup fat free sour cream
1 cup nonfat milk
1 ounce size packet hidden valley ranch dressing mix

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • combine sour cream, milk and hidden valley ranch dressing mix to make dressing. ( i use the fat free sour cream to replace the mayo that the mix calls for).
  • combine cracker crumbs, cheese and salt/pepper.
  • Dip the chicken into half of the ranch dressing on both sides. Then dip the chicken into the cracker crumb mix on one side only.
  • Bake for 35 minutes or until crispy. Use the remaining ranch dressing as a dip/sauce for the chicken once baked.
  • Serve.
