An old vintage classic jello salad. This Cherry Marshmallow Jello Salad is colorful, easy to make and still is a huge hit at holidays and bbq's. The perfect side dish for a quick meal.

1 3 oz. pkg. cherry jello (or any other flavor)
2 20 oz. cans crushed pineapple
1-2 15 oz. cans mandarin oranges (drained)
1 8 oz. container whipped cream
1 10.5 oz. pkg. marshmallows (we use the colorful ones for fun, the white when we're being "formal")

Steps:

  • In a big bowl, dump the crushed pineapple WITH the juice (don't drain it!!). Dump the jello in with the pineapple. Stir the entire thing until it's thickened. Fold in whipped cream and stir well.
  • Add in the mandarin oranges and stir. Add marshmallows. Put in the fridge to chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

1 3 ounce package raspberry jello
2 cups boiling water (divided)
1 can Lucky Leaf cherry pie filling
3 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 3 ounce package lemon jello
1 cup crushed pineapple with juice
1/2 cup Cool Whip
2 cups fruity mini-marshmallows

Steps:

  • Dilute a 3-ounce package of raspberry jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Mix in one can of cherry pie filling. Pour this in a 9x9 or 11x7 pan. Let set. In another bowl, beat a 3-ounce package of cream cheese with 1/3 cup mayonnaise until smooth. Dilute a 3-ounce package of lemon jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Add this jello to the cream cheese mixture. Add 1 cup of crushed pineapple (with juice) and 1/2 cup Cool Whip. Spread this on the cherry mixture. Add 2 cups of fruity mini marshmallows to the top of the lemon layer. Let set.

1 (6 ounce) package cherry-flavored gelatin (such as JELL-O®)
2 cups hot water
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, juice drained and reserved
3 bananas, sliced
1 ½ cups cold water
1 cup miniature marshmallows, or as needed
¾ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Dissolve gelatin completely in 2 cups hot water and pour into desired mold. Mix crushed pineapple, bananas, and 1 1/2 cup cold water into gelatin mixture; top with miniature marshmallows. Chill until firm.
  • Whisk reserved pineapple juice, sugar, flour, and egg in a saucepan over low heat and cook, whisking constantly, until mixture almost comes to a simmer and becomes thick, about 5 minutes. Mix cream cheese into sauce, transfer to a large bowl, and cool to room temperature. Stir whipped topping into cream cheese mixture. Spread over gelatin. Chill thoroughly before serving.
