Serve this delicious dip for your next party...my family loves it...this could be kept warm in a crock pot set on low, until ready to serve. This is my very own concoction...enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 1/2 Tbsp olive oil
1/3 c onions, diced small
1 - 15 oz can tomatoes, - drained well & chopped small
1 - 4 oz can, green chiles - undrained
1/4 - 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chili powder - more if you like
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes or more if you like it hot - optional
1/4 c heavy whipping cream
1 c each - cheddar cheese & monterey jack
chips for dipping

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium saucepan, add the oil and onions and cook until onions are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • 2. Once onions are tender, add the tomatoes, chiles, chili powder and pepper flakes. Bring this mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the liquid had evaporated. Remove from heat.
  • 3. Stir in the cheese and cream, and return to burner over low heat and stir until all cheese is melted and sauce is heated though well.
  • 4. Serve hot with your favorite nacho or tortilla chips.

TEX MEX CHEESY CHILI DIP

I made due with what I had in my home for ingredients. This is a dip I came up with. It is cheesy,spicy,and delicious. I hope you all enjoy it!

Number Of Ingredients 9

16 oz can re fried beans
8 oz softened cream cheese
2 Tbsp jalapeno peppers diced
1 can(s) hormel chili with beans
1 c sweet corn
8 oz 1/2 jar medium salsa ( i used chi chi's)
2-3 c mexican cheese ( monterey jack cheddar blend)
2 Tbsp black olives chopped optional
1 c sour cream optional for serving

Steps:

  • 1. heat oven to 375 degree's. Spread the re fried beans In a square baking dish. Mix the softened cream cheese with the Jalapeno pepper. Spread evenly over the re fried beans.
  • 2. Mix the chili,salsa,and corn together. Heat in microwave on high for 2 minutes. Spread chili mixture over the cream cheese mixture.
  • 3. Top with the Mexican cheese and black olives. Bake for 20-30 minutes,or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
  • 4. Serve with Tortilla chips and sour cream!
