4 cups frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 pound ground beef
1 envelope brown gravy mix
1 cup water
1 package (10 ounces) frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1 can (2.8 ounces) french-fried onions, divided

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine hash browns, oil and pepper. Press onto the bottom and 1 in up the sides of an ungreased 9-in. square baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in gravy mix and water. Add vegetables and garlic powder. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup cheese and half of the onions. Spoon into the potato shell. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and onions. Bake 5 minutes longer.

2 lbs. hamburger
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (plus more for topping, optional)
1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 package of hash browns (20oz)
salt & pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger meat.
  • Mix cheese, soup, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper together then add in the hash browns.
  • Once you have all of this mixed, layer the hamburger in a 9x13 pan and then spread the mixture on top of the burger.
  • Top with more cheese if you desire and cook at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour.

2 medium russet potatoes
3 tablespoons olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 small onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
8 ounces ground beef (90% lean)
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 1/2 cups grated sharp Cheddar

Steps:

  • Peel the potatoes and cut into small cubes (a little less than 1/2 inch). Put in a bowl and cover with cold water, mixing to rinse off the starch. Drain and rinse in a colander, then transfer to paper towels and pat dry.
  • Heat the oil in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the potatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender and golden brown on most sides, about 15 minutes. Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper to taste, then transfer to a plate with a slotted spoon.
  • Preheat the broiler on high.
  • Add the onion, bell pepper and garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 7 minutes. Add the beef, chili powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook, breaking up any clumps with a wooden spoon, until brown, about 5 minutes. Return the potatoes to the skillet and mix to combine. Sprinkle the cheese over the hash.
  • Broil until melted and bubbling, about 1 minute.

2 tablespoons crushed corn flakes cereal

0.25 pounds bacon
1 pounds ground beef
1 units onion
1 units green pepper
0.5 boxs velveeta cheese
1 bags hash browns
0.5 cups milk
1 units salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Fry bacon and set aside. Steam ground beef with diced onions and green peppers. Drain. Crumble bacon and add to meat mixture. Add Velveeta Cheese and on low heat stir until cheese is melted.
  • Brown hash browns in skillet. When hash browns are browned, put into a 9x13 baking dish. Pour meat mixture over hash browns, add milk, and mix well.
