Incredibly Delicious Cheese Garlic Bread Spread image

Easy, cheesy, savory spread to transform regular bread into a taste sensation! Goes awesome with pasta dishes or beside a fresh salad.

Yield 1 1/2 cups spread

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2-1 cup margarine
3 teaspoons chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Microwave margarine in medium glass bowl for about 40 seconds or until its melted.
  • Mix in all ingredients, using a fork.
  • Spread the mixture over bread (I use a one of those long sourdough french loaves split in half lengthwise but I've also used plain thick cut bread or split dinner rolls).
  • Place on baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes at 450, until the top is golden brown.
  • Easy!

1 Loaf French bread
1/2 cup salted butter (softened)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
3 garlic cloves minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup Colby jack cheese (shredded)
1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut your French bread loaf lengthwise and place on top of a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl combine softened butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Spread evenly on each side of the garlic bread. Top with Colby Jack and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until butter is melted an bubbly. You can also broil the top for 1-2 minutes at the end to give it a more crisp top.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

1/2 c butter
2 1/2 c (10 ounces) assorted finely shredded cheeses
1 Tbsp or to taste: brandy (could use beer, or milk)

Steps:

  • 1. In food processor, cream butter until light and fluffy.
  • 2. Add cheeses and brandy. Beat until smooth
  • 3. Chill in tightly covered container 3 days to blend flavors.
  • 4. Bring to room temperature before serving. Makes about 2 cups.
  • 5. Note: You can dress it up a little with chives, or garlic, or hot peppers... or anything you can think of.

1/2 cup prepared pesto
1/4 teaspoon salt

French bread slices (1/2 inch thick), toasted

Steps:
