Number Of Ingredients 12

1 (12-count) package Hawaiian bread rolls
1 pound shaved deli ham
12 slices Gruyere cheese
1 (8-ounce) tub chive and onion cream cheese spread
1 dash cayenne pepper
1 stick butter, melted
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cut all rolls in half. Place roll bottoms in 9×13-inch pan. Place equal amounts of ham on each roll bottom. Top with Gruyere. Sprinkle with poppy seeds. On each of the roll tops, spread a generous amount of the cream cheese spread to which you add the cayenne. Return the tops to the bottoms making sandwiches. In a separate bowl, mix together the butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, onion, brown sugar, and parmesan cheese. Pour over your sandwiches and refrigerate overnight. Place sandwiches, covered in foil, in a preheated 350°F oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until warmed through. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 11

cooking spray
1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
1 (6 ounce) package thinly sliced deli ham
¾ pound shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup unsalted butter
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon poppy seeds
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dried minced onion
¼ teaspoon salt, or to taste
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Slice attached rolls in half widthwise with a serrated knife, keeping rolls connected, into a bottom and top 'slab.' Place bottom slab in the prepared pan.
  • Layer about half the ham evenly over the bottom slab of rolls. Layer Swiss cheese evenly on top, and arrange remaining ham over the cheese. Cover with the top slab.
  • Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave until melted, about 1 minute. Add mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour butter mixture evenly and slowly over the rolls. Spread over the tops using a spatula; some of the mixture will pool at the base of the rolls. Cover with aluminum foil and let stand at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese has melted, about 20 minutes. Uncover and continue baking until browned as desired, 3 to 5 minutes more. Slice into individual sliders.

ABSOLUTE BEST HAM AND CHEESE SLIDERS

Absolute Best Ham and Cheese Sliders image

These yummy sliders are a huge hit with the family and with the folks at our local church when we bring these to brunch! Feel free to play around with the fillings....sometimes we make these with sliced turkey and cheddar cheese. I also use spicy brown mustard at times instead of plain yellow mustard. Have fun and enjoy!
