KITTY LITTER CASSEROLE

This is being submitted in response to a recipe request. I have not tried the recipe, but it does look like it would be good and the taste of the dumps could be adjusted with different seasonings and herbs to suit your families taste.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups uncooked long grain rice
3 3/4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons margarine

  • Stir, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
  • Fluff rice with a fork and set pan aside.

HALLOWEEN KITTY LITTER CASSEROLE

Halloween Kitty Litter Casserole image

Want something gross but tasty to serve for Halloween? This ground beef and rice casserole looks just like what you might find the cat has left you in the litter box.

Time 40m

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup Bisquick baking mix
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 pound ground beef
2 cups long grain rice
3 3/4 cups water
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the baking mix, shredded cheese, and raw ground beef. Form the mixture into tootsie-roll shaped logs of different sizes. Place the logs in a baking pan in a single layer and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes or until cooked. If they are getting too brown you can turn them over during the cook time. Remove from the oven and let cool on paper toweling (they will be a little greasy). Meanwhile, bring the rice, water, salt, and butter to a boil in a saucepan. Cover and reduce heat to low. Let simmer for 15 minutes or until rice is cooked. Spread the cooked rice in a clean baking dish (or new litter box) and place the beef logs on top in random order. Serve with a new kitty litter scoop for added effect! Serve hot.

CAT LITTER CASSEROLE

Cat Litter Casserole image

Here kitty, kitty, kitty! Make this for your kids and see what they think! Might be fun to see their reaction...especially if you have a cat or two in the house! Can't you hear it now..."EWWWWWWW...Mom!....This is gross!!!..." Or maybe they'll think it's the best thing you've ever made...Anyway, give it a go! (I think I'd serve it with ketchup or some other sauce on the side...) :)
