3/4 lb ground round
1/4 lb ground pork
3/4 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup milk
1 cup water chestnut, chopped fine
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon onion salt
1 dash Tabasco sauce
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup cider vinegar
3/4 cup water
1 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Combine ingredients for meatballs. Mix well. Form into bite size meatballs.
  • Bake in 9 x 13-inch glass pans in a 375° oven until brown, approximately 1 hour, turning once.
  • Cool and drain on paper towels.
  • Combine ingredients for sauce in large saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add more cornstarch mixed with water if needed.
  • Simmer 30 minutes.
  • Add meatballs to sauce. Serve warm with toothpicks.

20 oz pineapple chunks in juice
5 Tbsp teriyaki sauce, divided
2 Tbsp vinegar
1/4 c brown sugar
2 Tbsp ketchup
2 lb ground beef
4 Tbsp minced onion
4 Tbsp cornstarch
1 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.
  • 2. Combine syrup, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, vinegar and ketchup; set aside.
  • 3. In separate bowl Mix beef with remaining 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce and onion; shape into 20 or more meatballs.
  • 4. Brown meatballs in large skillet; drain off excess fat.
  • 5. Pour syrup mixture over meatballs.
  • 6. Simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • 7. Dissolve cornstarch in water; stir into skillet with pineapple.
  • 8. Cook and stir until sauce thickens and pineapple is heated through.

3 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
5 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, divided (I use lite)
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon catsup
1 lb lean ground beef
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Steps:

  • Drain pineapple; reserve syrup. Combine syrup, brown sugar, 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce, vinegar and catsup; set aside.
  • Mix beef with remaining 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce and onion; shape into 20 meatballs. Brown meatballs in large skillet; drain off excess fat.
  • Pour syrup mixture over meatballs; simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

1 Can (13 1/4 oz) Pineapple Tidbits
1 1/2 T. Cornstartch
2 tsp. Soy Sauce
1/2 C. Sliced Green Onions
1 C. Celery
2 T. Water
1/4 C. Vinegar
1/4 C. Sugar
1 T. Butter
1/2 C. Green Pepper Strips

Steps:

  • Brown Meatballs (see meatball recipe). Drain pineapple saving liquid. Set pineapple aside. Mix cornstarch with 2 T. Water to make a paste. Then add to pineapple liquid along with vinegar, sugar and soy sauce. Pour over meatballs and bring to boil. Cover skillet tightly, turn heat to low and simmer 20 minutes.

1 pound ground beef
1/4 cup finely crushed pork rind
3/4 cup onion minced
1 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
2/3 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon safflower oil
* Part two.
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water
1 (13-ounce) can pineapple tidbit in their own juice (reserve juice)
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1/4 cup green onions sliced, including some tops
1/2 green bell pepper, seeded and cut in thin strips
1 cup celery thinly sliced
1 tomato large tomato, peeled and cut in wedges or 3/4 cup cherry s, cut in half
1/4 cup almonds slivers, lightly toasted

Steps:

  • 1. Combine ground beef, pork rinds, onion, salt, pepper, and heavy cream until well-blended. Shape into walnut-size balls and brown over medium heat in hot oil. While these are browning, make the following sauce.Sauce:1. Mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water add to reserved pineapple juice with remaining water, vinegar, brown sugar twin, and soy sauce. When meatballs are browned, remove fat pour pineapple juice mixture over top. 2. Bring to boil cover skillet and simmer 10 minutes. Add pineapple tidbits, onions, green pepper, and celery. Stir cover and cook 10 minutes over low heat. Stir in tomatoes and heat through. Sprinkle with almonds before serving.
