Pecan Chewy Cake (aka Pecan Chewies) has a dreamy texture similar to a blonde. This delicious southern dessert is filled with gooey butter, brown sugar, and pecans!

10 tbsp butter (melted, (1 1/4 sticks))
1 pound brown sugar
2 cups self rising flour
3 each large eggs
1 1/2 cups pecans (roughly chopped (you can also use walnuts))
2 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease or spray cooking spray in 9 X 13 pan.
  • Melt Butter. Add one box of brown sugar and mix together until well incorporated.
  • Next add two cups of self rising flour, three eggs, one and one half cups of pecans and vanilla. Mix until combined.
  • Pour into greased 9 X 13 pan and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove pan and drop the pan onto the counter top to settle the cake and bake for 5 more minutes.

¾ cup butter
3 cups packed light brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups chopped pecans
3 cups self-rising flour

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan, or for thinner bars, use a 10x15 inch jellyroll pan.
  • Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Stir the eggs and vanilla into the brown sugar and butter. Mix in the chopped pecans, and then the flour. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2 cups self-rising flour
1 cup chopped pecans
2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F and lightly spray a 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Melt butter, add sugars, and blend well by hand. Add beaten eggs, stir well. Add flour and stir until all lumps are gone. Add pecans and vanilla. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake approximately 40 to 50 minutes being cautious not to over cook. They will still be jiggly in the middle.

2 cups milk
2 packages (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix
1 quart butter pecan ice cream, softened
1 carton (8 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 Heath candy bars (1.4 ounces each), crushed

Steps:

  • Combine cracker crumbs and butter; press into a 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Chill., In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes (mixture will be thick). Fold in ice cream and whipped topping. Spoon over crust. Sprinkle with candy. , Freeze for at least 2 hours. Remove from the freezer 20 minutes before serving.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsulfured molasses
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup bourbon
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
4 cups coarsely chopped pecans, toasted

Steps:

  • Whisk together flour, allspice, and salt in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Melt molasses and butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat; let cool slightly. Stir in bourbon. Transfer to a medium bowl; whisk in sugar until smooth. Stir in flour mixture and 1 cup pecans. Refrigerate dough until firm, at least 1 hour or up to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Scoop balls of dough using a 11/4-inch (1 ounce) ice cream scoop; roll in remaining 3 cups pecans. 1/4 cup butter, melted
4 large eggs, room temperature
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups chopped pecans
Confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Spread butter evenly in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. In a large bowl, beat eggs, brown sugar and vanilla until blended. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Stir in pecans., Spread into prepared pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until browned. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 package (16 ounces) packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ self-rising flour
1 cup chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches.
  • Beat butter, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour and pecans. Pour into pan.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. For 48 bars, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows.
