Time 2h40m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 lbs country style pork ribs ((boneless))
1/2 tsp each, salt & pepper ((to taste))
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup BBQ sauce ((or more, as desired))

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and trim any excess fat cap (an even layer of thick fat) from your boneless country style pork ribs as needed.
  • Season both sides of the country style ribs with salt and pepper, then arrange them on a couple of sheets of aluminum foil (large enough sheets to wrap around your pork ribs and seal securely). Place the foil with the ribs into a baking dish or onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Create the 'pouch' around your seasoned country style ribs, pulling up the sides so it will hold in the liquid, then pour the apple cider vinegar over the ribs. Seal the aluminum foil securely.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours or until your pork ribs are fork tender (small 4 ounce ribs may cook quickly, and large 10 ounce ribs may take a bit longer).
  • Remove from the oven and open the aluminum foil carefully (vent the steam away from your body!). Transfer the pork ribs to a clean sheet of aluminum foil and drain the fat from your baking dish or sheet pan, then discard the used aluminum foil.
  • Move the ribs back into your baking dish and coat all sides of the pork ribs generously with the BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven when done and allow the pork ribs to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Slather with more BBQ sauce if desired.

Country-style ribs are cut from the loin, one of the leanest areas of pork. These ribs are seasoned, boiled until tender, then baked with your favorite barbeque sauce. That's it! Back to simplicity, back to the country life. Sigh.

Time 1h40m

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 9

3-4 lb boneless pork country-style ribs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 large onion, sliced
1 1/2 cups water
1 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
2 dashes red pepper sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F. Coat bottom of baking dish with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Place ribs in dish, separating them slightly. Drizzle remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil over top of ribs and rub to coat. Sprinkle seasoned salt lightly over all. Place sliced onions on top of ribs. Roast ribs at 425°F for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder and red pepper sauce. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer sauce until it is reduced and thickened a bit.
  • After 30 minutes of roasting, pour BBQ sauce over ribs, reserving about 1 cup for later. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F and bake ribs another 60 minutes (or longer, depending on thickness of ribs), basting with sauce every 15 minutes. Ribs are done when meat is tender and cooked through, and the internal temperature reaches a minimum of 145°F. You can cover the pan loosely with foil for the final 30 minutes of baking if the ribs appear to be drying out. Be sure to keep basting the meat frequently to keep it moist and flavorful.
  • Transfer ribs to a plate and pour BBQ sauce over all. Serve immediately.

My aunt and dad makes this for family functions. It's really easy to make and quite tasty. 2lbs of ribs equals 8 pieces or so. Use as much as barbecue sauce as you like to taste. Also good leftovers if there is any left.
