1 ounce espresso liqueur, such as Grind Espresso Shot Rum Liqueur
1 ounce cinnamon whiskey, such as Fireball
1/2 ounce chocolate syrup
1/2 ounce Mexican chile syrup
1 ounce Irish cream liqueur
1 ounce heavy cream
Dash cinnamon
1 chocolate cigar

Steps:

  • Add the espresso liqueur, cinnamon whiskey, chocolate syrup and chile syrup to a shaker and add ice.
  • Shake until ice cold, for about 30 seconds, and pour into a martini glass.
  • Add the Irish cream liqueur and heavy cream to a new shaker, then add ice and shake for 20 seconds.
  • Pour this slowly on top of the drink so that the cream mixture floats on top.
  • Garnish with the cinnamon and chocolate cigar.

2 cups red grapes, sliced in 1/2
1 nectarine, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1/2 cup brandy
1 bottle dry red wine (recommended: Sterling Vintners Collection Meritage)
1 bottle white wine (recommended: Sterling Vintners Collection Sauvignon Blanc)
2 cups sparkling water

Steps:

  • Cook's Note: Canned fruit cocktail can be substituted for the fresh fruit
  • Add the grapes, nectarines and orange to a large pitcher. Pour in the brandy, wine and sparkling water. Mix well, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. When you are ready to serve, fill glasses with ice, if desired, and pour in the sangria. Spoon some of the fruit into the each glass and serve

APPLE BBQ TEQUILA COCKTAIL

The addition of barbecue sauce to a cocktail is unusual, but it gives a delicious spicy kick to this drink that Ree created specially for Ladd.

2 ounces tequila
2 ounces apple juice
1 mounded teaspoon sweet barbecue sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
Splash lemon-lime soda
Apple chip, for garnish

Steps:

  • Add the tequila, apple juice, BBQ sauce and brown sugar to a cocktail shaker or mason jar. Put on the lid and shake until well combined. Fill a glass with ice. Pour the cocktail over the ice, so it's about three-quarters full, then top up the glass with the soda. Garnish with the apple chip.
