I came up with this recipe after having a similar sangria at a popular steakhouse (Carrabba's®). This has become a favorite of everyone who has tried it! Easy and delicious! Add chopped fruit if you like. Store any leftover sangria in the refrigerator.

1 (750 milliliter) bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
13 fluid ounces blackberry brandy
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen concentrated peach mango juice (such as Dole®)
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup water
ice cubes

  • Mix Cabernet Sauvignon, blackberry brandy, peach mango juice, pineapple juice, and water in a large pitcher to make sangria. Serve over ice.

1.5 liters bisanzio italian wine or any other sweet red italian wine (Lambrusco is suggested)
14 oz cranberry juice (not cranberry cocktail)
14 oz monin blackberry syrup (use blackberry jelly dissolved if necessary)
6 oz tuaca italian liqueur

  • Mix all liquid ingredients together and add blackberries. Refrigerate and let sit for a few hours. Serve over ice. When ready to serve, add a slice of lemon and orange.

Our scorching summer months inspired this refreshing, light style of sangria. I like adding fresh blackberries and garnishing it with sprigs of mint or basil for personal flair. 1 bottle (750 ml) white zinfandel or rose wine, chilled
1/4 cup watermelon schnapps liqueur
1-1/2 cups cubed seedless watermelon (1/2-inch cubes)
1 medium lime, thinly sliced
1/2 to 1 cup fresh blackberries, halved
1 can (12 ounces) lemon-lime soda, chilled
Ice cubes
Fresh basil or mint leaves

Steps:

  • In a large pitcher, stir together wine and schnapps; add watermelon, lime and blackberries. Chill at least 2 hours. Just before serving, stir in soda. Serve over ice. Garnish with basil or mint.

1 bottle red Spanish table wine, chilled
1 1/2 cups peach puree, from fresh peaches
1 cup peach brandy
1/4 cup simple syrup, chilled
1 cup fresh blackberries
2 ripe peaches, halved, pitted and sliced, plus more for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine the wine, peach puree, brandy, syrup, blackberries and sliced peaches in a pitcher. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours and up to 24 hours. Serve the sangria over ice in red wine goblets. Garnish the goblets with sliced peaches.

4 cups fresh blackberries
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups water
2 (750 ml) bottles rose wine
1 cup cognac
1/4 cup lemon juice or 1/4 cup lime juice
3 cups sliced peaches or 3 cups sliced plums
fresh basil sprig (optional)

Steps:

  • For the syrup, in a medium saucepan* combine 2 cups of the berries, the sugar, water, and a dash of salt. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Strain through a colander, pressing gently without crushing the fruit; discard berries. Cool syrup.
  • For sangria, in a gallon jar or pitcher combine the blackberry syrup, rosé wine, cognac, lemon juice, fruit, and a few sprigs of basil, if desired. Cover and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
  • Serve with ice, additional fruit, and basil. Makes 13 cups (26, four-oz. servings).

1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup red sangria
1 1/2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter, softened
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup milk

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Lightly spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In 3-quart saucepan, stir together blackberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, 1 tablespoon butter and the sangria. Heat to boiling over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; cover to keep warm.
  • In small bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. In medium bowl, beat 3 tablespoons butter and the brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Alternately add flour mixture with milk, beating on low speed just until blended. Pour batter into baking dish.
  • With slotted spoon, gently spoon blackberries over batter (do not stir). Pour syrup from saucepan over berries. Place baking dish on cookie sheet on lower oven rack.

1 cups water
1 cup sugar
4 star anise pods
1/2 tsp black peppercorns
1/2 tsp whole cloves
Two 3-inch cinnamon sticks
1-inch slice of fresh ginger
1 cup Olive's Oil Blackberry Ginger Balsamic Vinegar
SANGRIA
One 750-ml bottle dry red wine, such as Grenache, Syrah or Cabernet Sauvignon
1 cup fresh apple cider
1/2 cup dark rum
1/4 cup brandy
1/4 cup Cointreau or Triple Sec
1 1/2 cups club soda
2 navel oranges - sliced
1 lime - sliced
1 Granny Smith apple & 1 Barlett pear - halved, cored & large diced

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, star anise, peppercorns, vinegar, cloves, cinnamon sticks and ginger. Bring to a simmer over moderately high heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Boil until reduced by one third and slightly syrupy, about 15 minutes. Let the spice syrup cool, then strain into a glass jar. Pour wine in a 3-qt pitcher. Stir in cider, rum, brandy, Cointreau, club soda & 1/4 cup of the spice syrup; add more syrup if you prefer a sweeter sangria. Add fresh fruit and refrigerate overnight. Serve sangria in tall glasses over ice. Garnish with a tablespoon of diced fruit. TIP: MAKE AHEAD The sangria can be refrigerated for up to 4 days. The spice syrup can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
