Big Mac salad combines all of your favorite fast food flavors with freshly cooked pasta. Take it to your next potluck or backyard barbecue!

Number Of Ingredients 19

16 ounces cavatappi pasta, cooked, drained, and rinsed in cool water
1 1/2 cups cubed cheddar or Colby-jack cheese
1 1/2 cups halved grape tomatoes
1 cup thinly sliced red onion
1 pound ground beef, browned
1 1/2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
1 cup chopped dill pickles
3/4 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons French dressing
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
2 teaspoons classic yellow mustard
1 tablespoon finely minced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons distilled white vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In a large salad bowl, toss together cooled pasta, cubed cheese, tomatoes, red onion, ground beef, romaine, and pickle chunks.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together all of the Big Mac Sauce ingredients. Pour dressing over the pasta salad ingredients and stir to coat evenly with the sauce.
  • Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours before serving.

Big Mac Pasta Salad is a fun twist on a summer side dish! Easy cheeseburger pasta salad with McDonald's special sauce, topped with sesame seed bun croutons!

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 sesame seed buns (, diced)
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 pound elbow pasta
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 yellow onion (, diced)
1/4 cup sweet relish
2 cups grape tomatoes (, halved)
2 cups lettuce (, shredded)
1 cup cheddar cheese (, shredded)
1 1/2 cups Big Mac Copycat Sauce (, recipe)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Toss buns with canola oil and sprinkle with garlic salt.
  • Add to baking sheet and cook for 6-8 minutes until toasted.
  • Let cool while pasta cooks.
  • Cook the elbow pasta according to the directions on the packaging, then rinse under cold water.
  • Add beef and onion to a large skillet and cook on medium high heat, breaking it apart as you cook, 6-8 minutes.
  • Let beef cool.
  • Add the pasta, relish, tomatoes, lettuce, cheddar, big mac sauce and cooled beef to a large bowl and toss gently.
  • Top with Croutons and serve (if you toss croutons they'll get soggy if it sits for too long).
