1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (7 to 8 large lemons)*
1 cup granulated sugar
7 cups water, divided
Ice
Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Juice the lemons.
  • Add the sugar and 1 cup warm water to a large pitcher and stir until it is dissolved.
  • Add 6 cups cold water and lemon juice. Add ice and serve.

1-3/4 c sugar
1 c water
1-1/2 c fresh lemon juice, remove seeds. leave pulp in pitcher. chilled.
7 c water, ice cold

Steps:

  • 1. In a small saucepan combine white sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar.
  • 2. Allow to cool to room temperature. Then cover and refrigerate until chilled. Remove seeds from from lemon juice, but leave pulp in pitcher.
  • 3. In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, and lemon juice with 7 cups of cold water. Keep cold. Add ice when serving. I have made fresh lemonade ice cubes....to use in the lemonade. Keeps it from diluting the flavor...Nancy /4/12

8 lemons
1/2 cup superfine sugar, plus more to taste
5 cups water
Ice cubes

Steps:

  • Wash lemons under warm water. Roll them on the countertop with the palm of your hand to get them ready for juicing. Cut the lemons in half through their bellies. Juice lemons using either your hands or a juicer, reserving 2 lemon halves. Add the lemon juice to a pitcher. Add sugar and water and stir until sugar has completely dissolved. Add ice cubes and the reserved lemon halves.

I just had this today on Memorial Day at a cookout at my neighbors, it was so good & so strangely made I just had to get the recipe to post on Zaar for my friends. She got it from her boyfriend's mom in Arizona. So simple & so good! You just might want to double this, it will go fast!

1 lemon (chopped up in pieces, rind & all)
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup cold water
3 cups cold water

Steps:

  • Put chopped lemon rind & all in blender.
  • Add 1/2°C sugar.
  • Add 1°C of cold water, blend well.
  • Strain in fine mesh strainer.
  • Add 3 C.cold water to lemon water.
  • Makes 1 quart.
  • Serve ice cold & enjoy!
